HSS-100 - Good For A Beginner?

Hello, I’m a skinny 17yr old and a beginner to weight training. For the past two weeks I’ve been following CT’s HSS-100 program, and although these workouts truly beat the hell outa me, I’m still skeptical whether this program is right for me.

The thing that is bugging me about the program is that approximately three or four days after hitting a specific muscle or muscle group, the soreness is completely gone and I feel capable of working that muscle again, but the schedule only permits 1 session per week.

I’m worried that the workout spit is preventing me from working at my fullest capacity. My goal is to get bigger and stronger. Is this program better suited for more advanced and experienced lifters? If so, which program would be better for a beginner like myself?

While I tend to favor Full-body workouts, I think what’s most important is that you find a premade workout (which you have) and stick with it. After you finish it, try something that feels different. Educate yourself.

ONLY sore 3-4 days. Bro thats a LOT of soreness and its good your healed a fey days prior to hitting that group again. You need to heal to grow muscle and progress if your always hitting and damaging tissue prior to it being healed you’ll likely stangnet or regress fast.

I say keep going with this quite doubting and over thinking it. Give it your all bust ass and finish it then try aomething new see what this gives then the next etc etc.
