I just bought some straps because I do heavy deadlifts followed by 3-4 sets of stiff leg deadlifts for reps, and my grip tends to be so fucked i end up dropping the bar before my posterior has had a good workout.
So, i’m looking at these straps and i’m not really sure how to use them…can anyone explain?
You wrap them COUNTER to the direction that your fingers wrap.
This is somewhat embarrassing, but when I first started using straps, I wrapped the wrong direction. This is a bad, bad idea, since it makes it way harder to hold onto the bar. I ended up hurting my back Thinking back on it, I should have tested them out deadlifting something lighter than 90% of max.
