The only days that I puke are either legs or back days. An overdose of Spike along with shortened rest peroids following a preworkout meal less than 45 min prior to workout and 1 out of 3 times I may pop.
Maybe not that often but I bet I threw up at least 5 times last year. Nothing to be proud of but shit happens.
I really don’t mind the puking but I hate re-eating all of the calories that I just lost. It throws off my eating schedule.
My personal philosophy is that if you’re puking, you’re doing something wrong. Hard work is good, but nausea is your body’s way of saying “Hey stupid WTF are you doing!?!”
I’ve never thrown up from lifting.
I’ve never puked from working out. It helps if you eat at least 2 hours before your training, then have a shake about 1 hour prior to the training.

That’s just a recipe for vomit.
I can’t have anything on my stomach within 20 hours of training legs. Even then, I probably hurl once a week, of at the very least feel so queazy I can’t even think about eating.
I hate squats.
During bouts of massive conditioning when lactic acid accumulates to the point of making you want to puke I have a little trick. Take a couple of the natural ginger root gravol tablets that you find in the pharmacy. no prescription and they’re cheap and don’t cause the drowsiness that ‘real’ gravol causes.
I take it before bouts of tire flipping, throwing, 20-50 rep squats, burpee deathmatch, and other shit that may or may not make you puke, depending on your tolerance.
And just so that everyone knows there are some people out there who are just easy pukers. It’s not that they are training wrong or should get it checked. There are just straight up some pukie people out there.

I’ve never puked. I’ve starting heaving a little bit, but never lost my lunch.

What do those pills do specifically? I am an easy puker lol; especially when conditioning.

Sounds like low blood sugar to me, try taking Surge instead. I drink a Metabolic Drive shake (2.5 scoops worth) immediately before leg day and don’t have any problems.
I have never puked from a workout. I did feel queasy during a workout last week, which is rare for me, but I think it may have just been a touch of a bug.
I usually eat a “half” sized dinner (500-700 calories) about 60-90 minutes before my workouts and I’ve always held it down. The bigger problem is that if I eat my full dinner, I just feel too sluggish to lift all that intensely.

It very well could be the other way around in that you’re more prone to throwing up since you have no food in your stomach. Lifting on an empty stomach is probably just as detrimental as lifting on a full stomach- your body needs some sort of fuel for energy.
Perhaps you just have a sensitive stomach though. Personally I’ve never had experienced vomiting while working out but I’ve never felt good when lifting full or empty. I like having something light pre-workout.
I get nauseous and will throw up when doing reps anything over 10 and especially during squats. Been following CW??s programs for the last year and I dread any of them that have high reps. The Singles Club that had days with 3*18 just killed me. Lost my Surge a couple times during that.
I??ve tried everything, ate before, nothing in my stomach, ½ Surge before and after. It all comes down to high reps make me barf. Anything under 10 I??m good no matter what I have in my stomach.
i dont very often from lifting. maybe once every 5-6 monthes. its running that makes me throw up , basically every time i push myself hard
I haven’t puked in 6 years. I ate beans and rice and drank a pot of coffee then dips and pullups back to back non stop for about 10 mins no rest and chucked everywhere!
you should not puke, thats nothing to be proud of first of all.
Yet it did happen to me once during a boxing workout before I ever knew about lifting.
Just tons of intense cardio and bag work with no food got me so dizzy and nauseas I puked a bit, I felt like shit luckily never happened again.

Tried Surge. Puked like a prom date. Not looking for a cure. It just happens. I run out of air, and start gagging - then start hurling. Longer rests help. But puking doesn’t bug me.

Who says it’s detrimental? It’s just something that happens. The OP asked a question. I answered.
I have never puked from lifting, definetly gagged and had to hold it back a few times, but never any projectiles.
Is puking bad? Well if I’m struggling to put on size and I lose some of that food then that means I have to eat again haha. So I say it’s bad.
Yeah, some guys are just pukers and some aren’t. I’m not, thankfully.
It doesn’t necessarily have to do with working harder, or doing anything wrong or right either.
I had a guy who I used to train MA with who would puke at least once per belt test (3 was the most that I can recall). We were both going through the same stuff, both working as hard as we could, and I was actually working with a guy who outweighed me by about 50 lbs (while he was working with a guy of about equal size), so I know that his test wasn’t any harder than mine.
Yet he puked 3 times, where as I never did once. Why? Because once again, he is/was a puker and I’m not.
