Hey redzhark is that the power rack from Dicks? How do you like it? I was looking into getting it.

Like I said if you want one it is discontinued so be aware of that. I almost lost the chance as they were selling quick especially since xmas is coming. And at that price I am not sure there is an alternative. (there is always craigslist- where I got everything else you see). Also if it is the last one ask for the discount they always give it. I went to a Dicks that was far from my home (not the one I ended up buying it from) and they offered 20%. So ask for 20% and see what happens.
My gym, a lot of the current equipment belongs to my cousins, the rack and a few other things are mine. Looking to put about 9k into this over the next two years so I’ve got all my own equipment.

Hey thanks a lot for the info, yea I saw one on the floor a few days ago. Thanks for the 20% tip, im going to look into it. That price is pretty hard to beat.
Anyone have any suggestions for anchoring a power rack? I want to be able to choke my bands at the bottom, but I’m afraid it’s too light and I can’t bolt the thing to the floor.

You can build yourself a platform with a couple sheets of good wood (beavis and butthead laugh)and bolt the rack into the wood, rather than the concrete. You can use a couple sheets of 4’X6’ hardwood and lay some horse stall rubber mats down on top, then bolt the rack down.

I was going to build a deadlift platform out of plywood and horse stall mats. I could bolt it into that. Thanks!
Some of you guys have disgustingly awesome setups. Hopefully I can move into a house with a two car garage someday so I can expand and get some new and better shit.
I got most of my stuff off of craigslist and this guy about 200 yards down the road from me. Total cost is probably about $3500 for everything in the video, plus I’m now obligated to shovel the driveway and brush the snow off of my wife’s car since I evicted her from the garage.
Funny thing is, she uses our gym a lot more than I do.
Rogue R3 rack and bench showed up today. Still have a little bit of work to do, throw a few more bolts into the concrete so bands don’t tump it. It’s a start!
The beginning

Almost done with mine. just gotta get some accessories like chains and stuff. I worked at a gym for a couple years and it started to drive me crazy. There are always some cool people there but most of the people there really are dipshits. I dont think I could ever go back to a comercial gym.[/quote]
