That shit is gonna be hooked up!

I just worked out how many years of gym membership for both my wife and I could be paid for with $13000…76.5 years.

I don’t think I can pitch it to her just yet.

But congratulations mate, that’s an unreal setup you have there. I look forward to seeing pics of a new, huge you in a few months time.

Damnnnnn! Talk about the whole kit & kaboodle. Its all defintly well worth its weight in gold. have fun.

I live up in Northern California. Between Chico and Yuba City.

Ya its alot of cash at once but I figured I have the money, JUST DO IT!!!

On your way, pick me up. And like anybody else thats whats to come…please (J/K).That is a lot to drop all at once.

That set-up is tits. You don’t know how many times I’ve been on their website and made a hypothetical shopping cart that looked just like that. Oh well, back to the land of fairy’s and no chalk that is my university gym. At least there’s some honeys on cardio equipment.

You posted this just to hurt my feelings?

Wow, I haven’t heard that expression in a while. It still makes me laugh. Now I have another expression that’ll annoy people.

Nice setup BTW. Where are the bumper plates??

Two things:

 1. I’ll have to relocate from OC to Chico. No problem, that’s where Sierra Nevada is brewed.
 2. What will the dues run me? How much for child care?

Seriously, sweet set up. Tate must be happy as hell with you.

One of these days, I’ll be able to do that. Until then… I’ll be crying in the corner.

Nice set up. I agree that we want to see some after pictures of the new you. And all of the great stuff.

Awesome setup!!! You definitely spent quite a bit of money, but you purchased high-quality stuff. Enjoy it!

For those of you on a budget, you can definitely put together a nice home gym without breaking the bank. Sure, you may have to give up purchasing a few big items, but here’s a summary of what my setup cost me in July 2004 (most from Play It Again Sports):

Body Solid Power rack: $265
300lb Olympic barbell set: $119
Flat bench: $60
V-bar handle (great for chins and t-bar rows): $7
Various Hex dumbbells (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35lbs): 55 cents per pound unless purchased used
Weight tree: $25
Two, 3/4 inch, 4x6’ mats (they weigh 100lbs each!): $75
3 packs of 2x2 interlocking mats from Target: $36

I purchased the dumbbells over time. But the basics to my setup (Power rack, barbell set, weight tree, flat bench, mats) cost less than $600.

In addition to the above, I already had the following (prices are approximate to what I paid when I bought them between 2000-2003):

Swiss Ball: $65
Med balls: ~$20 each
16kg Kbell: $90
24kg Kbell: $105
Jump rope: $6
Elite dragging sled: $135

I’ve since added:

Elite Blast Straps: $60
40lb Xvest: $170
Iron Woody Bands: (free)
Elite’s Flex bands (light and average): $45
Foam Roller: $16

The good thing about a home gym is that you can add stuff over time. I’ve been building my home setup for more than two years now. I can do everything I need, and my equipment is holding up well.

sounds like a nice setup also. i have been thinking about doing something like this for a while now. what are the dimensions that you are working with for your home gym as i am curious to know how much equipment i could get without being too cluttered.

I’m using roughly 1/2 the garage (standard two-car garage) for my entire setup. It’s actually less than half because I have shelves against the wall to the left of the squat rack with paint and tools and the lawnmower and other stuff is to the right of the power rack by the garage door.

I’ll have to get another pic to show you and do some measurements. I could do it in less space if I had someplace to put some of my extra equipment other than on the pads on the floor (med balls, kbells, dumbbells, sandbags, etc.).

you bought a MONOLIFT???!!

dude, can i be your son?
