I just bought more plates. The hex dumbbells got sold (for about 2/3rds what I paid) to help pay for the plates. I’m using my adjustable oly handles with loads of 10s and sometimes 25s for DB work. I also have a band (to assist with pullups). I wish there was some way to make/buy a dip attachment for my rack but there doesn’t seem to be
I trolled craigslist a lot but wound up buying most of my stuff at academy and off amazon; small town life has advantages but a great used market isn’t one of them.
Some of ya’ll make me really jealous but that’s about all the space I got.

you can always do what I did.
my safety bars are round, not square. Would that design still be stable on them?

Sure I don’t see why not. I put a tennis racket wrap on the inside of the dip bars to prevent them from slipping. You just want them to be snug.
awesome. I don’t have welding tools but I bet I can make this work with a good power drill, which I do have.

just take it to a muffler shop and have them weld it up. It might cost 10-20 bucks.
Watch the video it will help.

This guy will make you a custom dip attachment (and pretty much anything you can think of)

UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns, hell yeah!
At some point, they supposedly got a new football coach who decided they needed to update their weight room. All the old racks and platforms were sold at auction. A buddy of mine bought several of them, and I bought one from him.
Those plates look so neat! I’m strongly considering to build my own home gym!
Has anyone had success with home made pulleys, to replace a cable machine?
This gym was 3 years in the making and the majority of the equipment came from my martial arts school I closed down a few years back. I kept a lot of the pads, wooden dummy, etc … so the gym is an eclectic mix of my physical pursuits. I’ve got a good range of gear including several kettlebells that aren’t really visible in the photos.
