Yo bananas, that was a lot of work you did, but your clean form is just so aweful, lol. The first 5 reps were like power snatches, which is more impressive btw lol. You are so strong you don’t even need to clean the weight, you just kinda reverse power curl it lol.

I’m prolly gunna get like 15 reps but I’ll show yall how to really CnP!
Not only did he basically reverse curl the weight up, he used absolutely no leg drive getting it over head. That’s impressive TB.
LOL… impressive how? shite technique is never good. #

Snatches tonight - wait till you laugh at this tech. will post the vid up tonight.

This is a good way to figure out the flaws in your technique. I did 185 for a handful of reps this weekend, realized that I’m costing myself reps by not getting a good shrug on the clean and not enough leg drive on the press. I’ve practically separated it into a lower body movement and an upper body movement rather than a total body movement.

As i said, i find cleaning/snatching lighter weights harder as i kind of only have 2 settings… on or off. So if i try to be powerful, i have smacked myself in the face during a clean cuz the weight was too light and knocked myself out while jerking about 90kg,a s i uppercutted myself, and also hurt my elbow while jerking 80kg because i exerted too much power. lol

Managed to do this and knocked my two front teeth out…for the second time in the gym. The first time was when I was wee 16 years old doing preacher curls for the first time. I didn’t have any weight on the bar and wasn’t expecting the tension change 2/3rds of the way through and I busted my front teeth out.

ok so I tried this out tonight. I got all ready and started the timer on my watch. I smashed through the first ten reps pretty quick and when I checked my watch time it had stopped at :26! SHIT! I was still feeling good so I rested like :30-1 minute and then tried again… Bad Idea. I was definitely pretty fatigued when I tried again and only got 16 reps. I didnt have my camera with me then but I’ll bring it and record my next attempt. I would have gotten 20+ for sure if I didnt pre exhaust myself with those 10 uncounted reps. next time!

no video, it didnt happen.

The way to do it in that situation would be to reset ur watch and blast straight on through to 1min 40. then count how many reps were inside 2 in on the vid.
yeah I thought about doing that and in hind sight i should have. I’ll try agian tomorrow probably and video it to see where I’m at.

get it done gregron!

have a good laugh at my snatch tech… fuck it needs work. but im not a lemon fresher, i simply use it to develop power for stones/tyres/fingals fingers etc.

Glad to see y’all haven’t hurt yourselves yet. Repping such a technical lift through fatigue isn’t a very good idea, in my opinion. Go throw some rocks or something.

Not saying shit doesn’t happen sometimes, but the human body is capable of enduring quite alot…

TB I think you have a very nice snatch. lol.

Actually I busted my wrists trying it today, but we arent using enough weight to hurt ourselves… I hardly doubt 135 is going to rip any rotator cuffs out. But I stand corrected by myself as I previous said, i really hurt my wrists today lol. Boxing + high rep clean and press = stupid.

my snatch is awful. lol

My overhead pressing is getting good.

get more vids up dick heads.

I haven’t figured out how to put up videos embedded into a post…or at least I forgot how as I have some in my training log in years past. Though I didn’t do the clean and press rep test I did throw up 355 for 16 yesterday on deadlift on video in about 42 seconds which I was relatively happy with. I’ll be trying the C

good going mate.

Last time I did deadlift for max reps… it was in the British Naturals last year.

it was 180kg/400lbs, i got 23 reps but was only awarded 19 due to hitching. was raging.

400 for 23? damn…Thats like almost “Jim Wendler” strong… he said he would consider someone strong if they could do 500 for 20.

Ive done 300 for 25 before. Never wanted to deadlift again lol.

OK SO, that will be our next competition ! high rep deadlifts with 315!

Video from me as soon as my wristies feel better…

no one else has entered this one yet

max reps with 315/142.5kg. id say close to 40.

ok just got back from the gym. I tried the 135 thing again and only got 17. Kinda disappointed cause I was hoping for 20+ but my legs were smoked from this mornings cardio session. I’ve never done much C&P but I’m really liking it and and plan on getting better conditioned at it/better form with the lift and blast up over 25 reps soon. I’ve got a video that i’ll upload probably later tonight or tomorrow morning if I can figure it out. Never uploaded a vid before.

Here’s my video

I dont know why my video didnt load? It worked in that other thread?

EDIT: Ok nevermind! just like the other thread the video didnt show up until after i did a follow up post. Weird

Nicely done!, I’m gunna stop being a vagina and get my video up tonight or the next day.

I’m jealous of the gyms you guys work out in… I see power racks and padded floors and all this nice room/equipment. The one I lift in is god aweful, for soccer moms.

^^this is actually the outdoor gym and my gym. There is a whole weight room (the one you see) that is actually outside in this gated courtyard. Its cool cause you can workout shirtless when its nice and and work on your tan for the beach/pool

anyway, I’m gonna be doing this as a warm up for my regular workouts pretty often. I like it. So my next video will be 20+ FOR SURE!
