is this up yet?
Ive got a 100kg/225lb log for max reps in 90 seconds in September. Im aiming for 10 so Im keen on entering this challenge.
Not that it matters, im 320lbs and about 30% BF. Can the big fat boys come show the shredded kids that we are fit too?
Dude, if you’re getting a 225lb log for 10 reps in 90 seconds then we’re all just competing for 2nd…
You mis read me, Thats the event in September and thats my target on comp day. Ive hit 4 in 90 secs so far.
got 6 in about 30 secs with a 80kg/177lbs log.
I dont think that would be so bad, especially if we determined the winner based on the workload rather than just the poundage used. Based on what he’s told us, it seems completely reasonable for him to participate.

minimum! ![]()
I will be doing this after Back Squats, Dead Stop Zerchers and SLDL.
Yeah I’ll be doing this last, after Heavy back squats. Just maxed on Trap bar deads yesterday too
but if we’re sticking to 135, i have no problem with it.
yes, 135 is good for me. Back is pumped to shit from kettlebell complexs tonight.
What you pulling on the trapbar out of interest? i pulled 660lbs/300kgs from the floor about 2 weeks ago and have locked out 380-390/860lbs (5kg plates fell off about inch from lock out) from 18inch.
Well it was my first time ever even touching a trap bar. And at age 17 and 169 BW, I managed 455. Not bad I suppose.
Shit man, I’m just gonna be competing for fun after hearing some of these numbers it looks like lol At 6’4" 200# I’ll be repping the “skinny-fat” division, maybe you guys will quit making fun of us ![]()
So are we doing 185 or 135? And we’re shooting for max reps in 2 minutes? For some reason I’m thinking super high reps with 135 will suck way more than semi-high reps with 185…

Same, lmfao, Exactly what I thought when strongman up there said he pulled 660.

135, a couple of us tried 185 and couldnt do more than the “5” region so we lowered it. Hope that’s ok with you. BTW youre def right, super high reps with 135 is much more brutal, especially past like 20. I bet you could burn 800 calories in one set.
just back… did 20+ after sets 3x5 with 80kg/185 and 3x5 squats.
Wasn’t bad to be honest, my tech was baaaadddd.
Will count them once i get my training vid edited together and uploaded to youtube.
I think 185 might be easier tbh.
EDIT: 20 reps bang on, but i went 5 seconds over roughly. I think I paced myself too much, 2 minutes isnt as long as i thought. 30 is the new target. ![]()

do both
Im planning on max reps with 185 next week.
Vid here:
Sorry its on its side… and sorry its a shit angle. Gym was full of wankers and my editing software decided to stop working so this is the full vid, need to skip to past 1min to the start of the reps.
Criticisms wanted.
woah a lot of activity over the 4th of July weekend… looks like i’m going to have to give this 135 a try soon. Just sucks that my gym doesnt have bumper plates so I cant just drop the weights like bananas… luuuuuuuuuucky!

get it done
Im thinking fresh and with a little more kettlebell training, i could hit 30+
if i get 10 with 80kg ill be stoked.
ok so I tried this out tonight. I got all ready and started the timer on my watch. I smashed through the first ten reps pretty quick and when I checked my watch time it had stopped at :26! SHIT! I was still feeling good so I rested like :30-1 minute and then tried again… Bad Idea. I was definitely pretty fatigued when I tried again and only got 16 reps. I didnt have my camera with me then but I’ll bring it and record my next attempt. I would have gotten 20+ for sure if I didnt pre exhaust myself with those 10 uncounted reps. next time!
.greg.
Yea, i’ll have a video either tomorrow or the day after…
Yo bananas, that was a lot of work you did, but your clean form is just so aweful, lol. The first 5 reps were like power snatches, which is more impressive btw lol. You are so strong you don’t even need to clean the weight, you just kinda reverse power curl it lol.
I’m prolly gunna get like 15 reps but I’ll show yall how to really CnP!
i was going to be cheeky and snatch the first 10 of so, put i thought that wouldnt come under the banner of C+P
its hard for me to clean a weight that i nearly curl, so thats why i think 80kg/185 will be easier for me.

no video, it didnt happen.
The way to do it in that situation would be to reset ur watch and blast straight on through to 1min 40. then count how many reps were inside 2 in on the vid.

Not only did he basically reverse curl the weight up, he used absolutely no leg drive getting it over head. That’s impressive TB.
