I currently high bar squat for powerlifting i cannot low bar squat to save my life i squat 450 max with a belt.
I feel the belt helps me stay more upright. Is there any downside to using a belt doing the high bar back squat??

No, there shouldn’t be any problem using a belt for high-bar squats. I use one, and alot of lifters I know use them.
