Help With My Legs

Yeah that god dam skinny man trend is disturbing.

Legs,

Do Lunges, with a bar, Lunges, with Dbs,

Do split squats
DO front split squats

After those
do Wall sits, and wall sits with DB

Do good mornings, or ROmanian deadlifts
and stiff legg deadlifts, you can use Dbs as well

every other leg day do sprints (at least 10 100s or 2 sets of 10 50s.

Look up in Poliquin articles on how to do lunges, I have a feeling you would be doing geek form.

You could also do deadlifts with DB. One sided deadlifts or RDL. These are probably allowed in your gym because you do not drop the weight when doing them and they don’t scare the soccer moms.

First of all. The only reason I wanted to train my ass, was because of the article that talked about women subconsciously evaluating mens asses to asses thrusting power. If it makes you feel any better, I have given up that goal.

Secondly, nowhere did I talk about wanting to look like orlando bloom, or being skinny. I have a bit of a belly, and I thought maybe if I started training my legs a bit that would help get rid of my belly. I am 205, and have no intention of loosing any weight, So please, don’t confuse me with the skinny people. If you look at my pictures, you will find that I don’t fit in with the skinny crowd at all. I train shoulders, chest and biceps, and all that just like you were talking about, go heavy fool, so please don’t jump me about that. I used to squat and deadlift, but I have just kind of fallen out of the habit, except for occasional deadlifting. I just don’t ever feel very motivated to train legs, even though I am sure that I need to be. I am sorry that I came to this forum for leg training advice.

I think you’re one of the more sane people here Barney. I was born genetically without an arse but I grew one with squats, lunges, deadlifts and romanian deadlifts.

Try doing your usual routine with about 3 less sets and add some leg work every time you go to the gym. Squat one day, romanian the next, leg press the next etc. That way you can still do the training you enjoy, just as long as you hit your legs the same time. Do them first as well for extra emphasis.

I think Barney is catching hell because of the several other posters lately who seem to be trying to fit into a stick figure mould. Barney doesn’t fit that profile though. From what I’ve seen, women like guys asses if they stand out. That’s what I’ve been told. I personally don’t understand actually working on getting a larger ass as mine is just fine, but I can possibly understand why someone who isn’t as gifted as myself, would feel inadequate. I will say that I don’t understand the request if he claims he quit doing squats or training legs all together That’s like saying you want to win a bodybuilding contest but you quit working out.

I just kind of quit training legs because the university gym doesn’t allow deads and doesn’t have a squat rack.

I did do leg curls, back extensions and farmers walks at the gym tonight. I did some deadlifts at home.

tommorrow i will probably hack squat at the gym, and do squats at home, and just clean the bar to my shoulders. I may try to do farmers walks again tommorrow if the gym isn’t too busy.

I am sure it really doesn’t qualify, but would farmers walks help with the legs any?

Pretty much any barbell exercise can be done with dumb bells.

As for your deadlifting dilemma: find something heavy and pick it up or flip it. There’s gotta be heavy things around somewhere.

Have you tried iceberg lettuce instead of spinich? I hear it works wonders for flatassorexia. Don’t eat the yellow snow, it makes your 6 pack look like a 1 pack.
