Today in my step aerobics class at college, we had to take a waist and hip measurement. I don’t think the little gal that was measuring me probably did things quite right, but my hips are 37 inches, and my waist is 36 inches.
I am 5’10 and 195. We are supposebly going to take a body fat percentage measurement, but is it bad that my waist and hips are that big?
I am in a step aerobics class because
A. it is full of very attractive women
B. My shithole university seems to think that I need to take a phys ed class, even though I had to have a phys ed class at my community college.
My choices were weightlifting, swimming, cardio and aerobics. If I took a weightlifting class, then I would be following a mass produced program that probably doesn’t include things like deadlift, chin up and squats, and probably thinks the smith machine is a gift from God.
I dont like swimming, and jogging is non conductive to gaining mass. I could wait another semester to see if anything comes up, but I am trying to get my bachelors when I am 20 1/2 , and I can not take anymore hours next semester.
There is a really fine looking philly in the class, she has got a nice big backside, and is a softball player, has some pretty toned thighs.
Most of the other women are pretty good looking.
Bullshit, real man would have taken weightlifting and showed those weakling ups
You’re not the fatty fat fat I thought. You’re in a decent/good shape.
The hell is with the mustache. Look like a ex-porno star trying to get out of the XXX business. But at the same time, the mustache makes you who you are.
Was this just another opportunity to show off the hair on your upper lip? Everyone isn’t going to have a 32" waist or smaller. Even at lower body fat percentages, my waist measures about what your’s does.
There is no way you should be going off of the measurement alone. Guys with smaller bone structures will obviously have lower measurements. You aren’t fat. Perhaps the Abercrombie Fitness boys on this site have given you a complex?

Your waste looks like it’s around 30"-32" in that picture.

It depends on his bone structure. 34" on some people is very lean. Everyone isn’t built the same. Some taller guys especially would have a larger waist than 32" in some cases and still be lean.
while you might wear 33x32 pants keep in mind you wear your pants lower than your waist (your waist is up near your navel). Also, while pants might be labeled 33 inches, the actual circumfrence varies depending on the cut (traditional, relaxed, etc.)
That being said, you aren’t even close to fat. Waist size doesn’t really mean all that much except that people who go by waist measurements are too lazy to track bf.
You should have looked into their weightlifting class. Might have been what you’ve been doing. Now you are possibly waisting 50 mins or whatever the class is of working out time. Now you are doing the a-robics class and that’s going to be counterproductive to your weightlifting as well.

It won’t be a waste if he scores the softball chick.
My routine is as follows-
Monday, wednesday and friday-
Barbell bench
behind the neck press
leg press (I would squat instead, but all that the gym has is a fucking smith machine, and cleaning the weight up isn’t really gonna make my quads grow. They have a hack squat machine, I though about using it instead of leg press)
Incline bench
Tricep Press downs
(The only thing I enjoy about MWF is the tricep pressdowns, and maybe the benching. passed that, I just don’t feel motivated to do anything on this day)
Tuesday, thursday Saturday- (I get everything done that I listed down there in the space of an hour and a half. I just can not seem to pull myself away fromt he gym on this day, I absolutely love training my back and my arms.)
Pull-ups
Overhand Cable rows
Chinups
Hammer grip cable rows
Posterior delt flys- on a peck deck type machine.
Lat pull down
Preacher Curls
sitting alternating curls
Laying prone on an incline bench curls (it was an excercise from one of those weekly testosterone updates)
Machine curls
Hamstring curls
On sundays I deadlift
My rountine used to be different, but I just moved two weeks ago to go to Washburn University, and I am using machines and stuff now. Before I didn’t have access to machines, so I deadlifted three times a week and did bent over rows.
