Other than being leaner, what part or area of the back do I need to work on? Just looking for some criticism from folks who have an unbiased eye.
This might help

I’d say lower traps, rhomboids and erectors. You don’t quite have that “3D” look through the midback. Granted, your tank is hiding that area a bit.
Lats and upper traps look great.
TBH, it’s hard to tell since you are wearing a shirt and aren’t very lean right now. There aren’t any huge glaring weaknesses that I can see but the shirt + the extra BF + that glaring light that’s washing you out makes it tough to give an accurate assessment big man.

Thank you for the input! Now, I just need to craft a back day for those particular areas. I have been working pretty hard on width.
How’ve you been training width?

Weightlifting is my guess
honestly, its impossible to tell at that body fat and with a shirt on, hell you didnt even hit a rear double bicep in that video. I always found my back felt huge in the off season and then when i got down in contest shape there just wasnt a whole lot left back there which was dissapointing for me when i got on stage, no such thing as too big of a back d00d.

Naw bros, running and foam work.
Mainly a lot of wider grips, pullups, and exercises that really get a good contraction in the lower lats.
looks pretty balanced to me mate.
Would need to be a bit leaner to say for sure
You’re wearing a shirt, so it’s kind of hard to really discern.
Anyway, you look thick. So were you to drop some bodyfat, you’d probably have some nice musculature on display.
My biggest critique, were I to lodge one, is your goddamn lat spread. It’s very narrow, doesn’t flare out that wide. Maybe you’re that way by genetics or it’s just a matter of needing to hit the drawing board.
Shirt off will help and need to truly cut off about 20-30 lbs to get a better idea to truly see which muscles need work
Width though. You can’t get enough. No one can. Lower lats. Almost no one can work these well. Rear delts not a true back muscle to some but it is posterior oriented so those as well
rear delts, if I have to pick something.

x2. With the shirt, “offseason-ness”, and quick movements/posing, it’s tough to get a good idea of what’s what. Pic was the best I could grab.
Give these articles a check for some ideas on how to arrange your back session:
Seeing as it hasn’t been mentioned, it’s refreshing to see such a big guy asking for others’ advice. A lot of people that big are of the thinking that they must know everything worth knowing already.
If you are thinking about losing some fat it would be very interesting to see what you look like as you come down in weight. I get a feeling there is a lot more muscle there that we can’t quite see. Weaknesses will be easier to see too. The sort of rhomboid area looks to be the weakest point but very hard to tell.

Haha thank you good sir, I know very little. I have been blessed with genetics that allow me to pack on size with relative ease, but refining and staying lean are my biggest weaknesses.
Again thanks for the input.

All truth spoken here. It is better to come here because people in person (most not all) around where I live are just enamored with the size and don’t know much about giving constructive criticism.
impossible to answer with that level of body fat…
id recommend hiring a prep coach and doing a nice, long, slow cut.
I think that everyone should be contest lean at least once in their lives…
you will be amazed at how much everything changes.

I worked with Shelby, he was fantastic.
but let’s see…
Shelby
Meadows
Phil Hernon
Matt Porter
and many many others who I can’t really be bothered to name right now lol…
if they are too expensive, there’s always dnp lol
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Alex Azarian. I don’t know prices but I hear he’s cheaper than most.
