HBO's True Detective

Bingo. The daughters artwork is the key.

x2. Why she sticks around is beyond me. I think her Dad is involved possibly the yellow king. Her daughters pretty fucked up…Tuttle senior dead, Tuttle jr dead, and the gardner is a loose nut job. I read somewhere all the clues are in episode 1 & 2. Notice the leutenant in Episode 1 who shows up with Tuttle to start the task force… He also shows up in last weeks episode when Rust braced Tutle jr. My prediction…

Martys ex wifes dad is the Yellow king, the leutenant the inside enforcer, the gardner Tutle seniors bastard grandson run awall being protected so as not to expose the cult shit amongst 2-3 prominant LA families… Rust & Marty live

Agreed. & somewhere in the mix his daughter has to be involved. Or, at the very least, maybe her bf? & showing clips for next week, a shot of Cohle sitting & watching the sunset… Almost like that might be the last shot.[/quote]

I could live with that. I want Rust to come through all this standing up.

I’m jealous of you guys picking up on all nuances.

What do I notice? The scene where Marty’s wife tell him she’s fucked around on him with his partner, just when he walks in the door her wine glass has about two sips left but when he sits down it’s at least half full. Da fuck good is that lol.

The writer said that it’s a pretty straight forward story and he’s not trying to trick the audience. If there was something with Audrey I think it’s that she.
A. saw the tape somewhere (most likely around her grandpa)
B. might have been molested by the grandpa (I see this as unlikely because there is no indication that the cult members abuse their own, just lower class kids).

I think it’s pretty likely that Rust and Marty end up dying. Way too much foreshadowing in the last episode. Marty more or less saying goodbye to his ex, Chole talking about how his life has been ultra violent and he wants the cycle to stop. The fact that Tuddle is now a Senator and that only a governor can fire a Sheriff, the only way out that they have are the two black detectives, I really don’t think they’re in on it, just puppets.

Do they end up dead or arrested and buried away written off as crazy?? Maybe one outcome for each. Or maybe they solve it, realize that it is all going to get buried and there is nothing they can do about it, Marty leaves town and Rust offs himself.

I suggest it was Colonel Mustard, in the Conservatory, with the candlestick.

If it’s likely to get covered up then Marty and Rust are going to bring justice to those responsible. (Justice meaning death)

I don’t think it’s going to be Marty and Rust working solo in this last episode. I think the bar owner is going to be helping out. So instead of just 2 in the wolf pack, the wolf pack has grown by 1 and now there are 3 in the wolf pack.

I don’t think Marty is going to survive the next episode, Maggie’s dad is heavily involved, and Maggie knew the whole time.

Has anybody read the actual “Yellow King” book?

Are you talking about “The King in Yellow” by Robert Chambers? Is so, yes, I mentioned it earlier and how “Carcosa” is a place in the play within the book.

I know they were talking about a season 2 with the same actors at some point, so I’d doubt they would kill off either of them. I’d think that the cover will get blown off a lot of things in E8, but they’ll make it sensational enough along the way.

Matthew McConaughey has said in interview that he will not do another season, that this is it. Not sure about Woody, but from what I read the show was pitched as an anthology with different storylines/actors each season. That being said, they have a lot to wrap up in the final episode.

They set it up for an epic final episode… or an epic failure of a final episode that leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.

True Detective is HBO’s apology for Girls and Looking.

Buckle yourself in.

Is there any state spookier that Louisiana?

Bodys are going to pile up from the looks of that clip. Only four more sleeps.

No shit. I have a sister that’s worked all over America and Louisiana was definitely the most twisted according to her. She said people there are very guarded compared to other southern states she’s worked in.
