But atleast you now have a date for independence

true, we do. and if we know whats good or us, we will vote against it. Scotland already is a Nation. A Nation which is VOLUNTARILY in a legislative union with three other Nations (England, Wales and N.Ireland). We dont need to PROVE our Nationhood to anyone, but i we choose to do so, we will suffer hugely. We have too few taxpayers and too many takers. We rely on the rest of the UK to pay for our laziness, imo
totally agree with you here man. 100%.
Same.

Wow I thought all you Scots were chomping at the bit to end the Union where the hell has the spirit of rebellion gone? What would your great patriot Mel Gibson have to say about this?
I posted a reply to this but it seems to have gone awol. So, once again, Scots these days dont need to rebel against anything. Scotland is not ruled by England or anyone else. Scotland joined England in a Union of the Crowns and of the Parliaments in 1606 and 1707. The Union parliament was in London, the Union King was James vi of Scotland.
In Wallace’s/Mels day, Scotland wasnt ruled by the English either. The King of Scotland (Alexander iii) had died, there was no logical heir, lots of in fighting ensued and the English King thought that was a good time to impose his will over Scotland. Enter Wallace, then Bruce (they never met though)and the rest is literally history.
