I Want That Reaction...

I was just walking around town and I saw this ‘big’ dude walking around with a vest on

now ‘big’ is an underestimation, in that he was around 5’10" , 250-260lbs and RIPPED

I reckon he had just done a show [because his head was white but his body was faded orange]

I saw him from across the road and I had to see this close-up, and I’ve seen my fair share of big people but this dude was like - damn !!

and I wasn’t the only one, I was walking behind him and literally everyone in front just stared and looked at him like - whoaaa

I’ve seen super-hot girls get less attention

even a few people stopped dread in their tracks to look at him

then just as I was about to go into the supermarket I hear someone shout at “HOLY **** LOOK AT THE SIZE OF HIM”

I just couldn’t stop laughing at that.

Then it made me think, damn what kinda reactions must the pro’s get on a daily basis?

Lift for you, not for the reaction of others.

exactly that. I imagine it has to get a little old after a while though. There’s a clip on youtube called “Markus Ruhl goes Shopping”. It shows him in the supermarket and people are doing the same thing to him lol.

That would pretty much be it.

I know, obviously

but my point was - when people say “when do you know you’re big”

when people give you that kind of reaction

my point was, I want to be big… for myself

but it’d be a bonus to receive such ‘compliments’

you see a hot girl everyday - you dont see a BBer everyday

People always react to someone that stands out in a crowd.

You see similar reactions to midgets, heavily chested women, the morbidly obese, extremely thin people, and even folks with physical disabilities.

"So much for bb’ing being a lifestyle, guess your organs can’t take chemicals forever. "

You just made this comment in another thread 5 mins ago, I think you need to shut the fuck up.

That would have to be a pain in the ass after a while. Of course, I’m sure if he covered up more, he’d get less of a reaction, at least in the way of people asking for pictures.

Look everyone can act all “Hardcore” and say they just do it for themselves and don’t care what others think, but that’s a load of shit. We all do this for some sort of recognition from our peers. If someone says otherwise they are either A) lying or B) Don’t get noticed because they look like crap and are bitter.

x2.

Lifting should, first and foremost, be something that you do for yourself… the amount of time, dedication, and exertion necessary to excel are such that, if you do it purely for some external reason, you will eventually peter out and find something that provides easier, quicker results (at least, in my opinion).

That being said, there is nothing wrong with wanting to get some compliments or attention along the way.

I think anyone who busts ass for muscle and claim they never take others’ reactions to their physique into consideration are lying to themselves… or us.

Psh, that’s totally fucking stupid! You’re a dumbass for wanting people to be able to tell you lift walking down sidewalk. You know, you can never even get that big honestly, so you might as well stop now.

Delusions of grandeur much?

You’re on a roll today, huh?

Anyone who is anywhere near that big is going to have to get used to people treating them like a freak in most daily situations. While I doubt very many people train just for that type of attention, that doesn’t mean you easily ignore it either.

Getting that every single time you leave the house would eventually get old…especially if it is like the scene the OP described. That is ridiculous.

I see, but exactly what has the OP set in motion in order to achieve such an effect on society?

Markus Rühl goes shopping:

The blank minute long stare of the girl at the end of the clip at the checkout is hilarious.

If i was Markus i would punch that bitch in the face for giving me those looks. Question is that his wife helping him with the Groceries? If so she is HOOGE

Somehow this post didn’t exist when I posted earlier, but good fucking point. I hate it when people say “Nah man, you ONLY do this for yourself. If you care what other people think about you you’re in it for the wrong reason.”

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard? Everyone gives a shit about how others perceive them to a certain extent.
