Is there any real difference between Hammer Grip DB Press and DB press with normal grip?

If so, what are the advantages of each?

By hammer grip you mean palms facing eachother (neutral-grip) right? The hammer grip works more of your triceps than using a normal grip I believe. Kinda like what the close-grip bench press is to the regular grip bench press.
