If I were to swap the back squat in greyskull for a Zercher squat would that cause any issues with my deadlifts?
I’m asking as I just prefer zercher squats. When I lifted for a little bit 10 years ago without a rack I got to a 67kg zercher for 3 reps, probably a little bent over in hindsight. But I just find them more enjoyable than back squats. I believe it says in the greyskull book that you can do variations of the squat but it doesn’t mention zercher, wondered if it was left out for a specific reason
I find the muscles involved in a zercher squat are very similar to the one used in a deadlift, especially assuming it’s a zercher squat with the weight starting from the floor. For myself, recovery would be tough.

That’s what I wondered. I’d do it from the rack personally now I have one. Is that still the case with a fairly upright torso?
This is a question you can answer for yourself. See how it feels and see how you recover.
Yea I might try it. Last time I got to 120kg deadlift, nothing amazing but I didn’t notice any issues. Probably didn’t get heavy enough to expose it
