Sssooo long story short I have been doing grey skull since late December. My weight is 98kg, 6ft2 chubby ish. I have a wedding to go in August. If I eat so I lose 1lb a week will that negatively affect the programme? Weights are still low, 50kg bench, 87kg deadlift. I dont want to screw up adding weight to the lifts but I’d like to be a bit more trim in August.
No offense but your numbers are not very impressive for your size. Did you just get into lifting?

What does chubbyish mean? 15%? 25%?
What is your current diet?
I’m sure we can get you on the right track to dropping some fat without too much impact on your current lifting.

Yep just started, been doing it maybe a month I think.
According bmi calculator, not to the best thing I know, I’m 26% body fat.
Diet wise I’m eating 2000 a day, in the hope of losing some weight, and getting 150g of protein. I let fats and carbs do what they want as long as the protein and calories are ok. Diet is ok now in terms of the quantity but I do eat too much processed stuff
Your 160lbs lean body mass.
Set your protien for at least that.
Set your fats to 55g
Fill the rest with carbs.
Personally I’d bring cals up to 2200 with those macros and run it for a few weeks with no processed foods and see what happens.
Just a diet cleanup would be beneficial but get protien up as well.

What is your definition of “lean body mass” here?
From a body weight of 98kg (216lbs) and a body fat of 26%, 74% is non-fat bodyweight of 72.5kg (160lbs).
If “lean body mass” means body weight at 12% body fat, that calculates at 182lbs.

I’ll be real, since you have basically 0 strength this might be the only time you can just diet irresponsibly hard and not have issues. Even if your bench press halves it’s only a 25kg loss
