Good Morning, Dr. Silberman. How's the Knee?

Jenn, you should compete.

Aww thanks brosef !! While I do think it would be a wonderful experience, I don’t know if I could stomach the money spending aspect.
Especially now that my kid wants a pet fish, LOL

You’re too short to be in anybody’s face.

Hardly!
WELL EXAMPLE:
Say John Meadows took off his gym clothes and went to the mall or a movie theater. People would be like “holy f#*#@! That dude looks like the hulk. He clearly lifts, etc…”
Take off my gym clothes and throw me in a public setting and no one would know that I work out 2hrs a day.
It’s not like “in yo face” muscle, ya know?! I need some in yo face muscle dammit!!
Well then be more realistic with your expectations, or start taking drugs.

As it stands now, you look great, and would fit right in on stage (after contest dieting of course). I do think what you said about the money thing makes sense, but you could always try to set up an actual plan for yourself and go through with it rather than hiring someone, then the costs of the contest would be in the hundreds instead of the thousands.

Or the other option would be working with someone like (the mighty) Stu Yellin, he is much more affordable than most, prepped his wife (and other female clients) for her contest.

I would instantly be able to tell you lifted even in normal clothes to be honest.

Keep up the good work and don’t get discouraged. This is one of my favorite logs of all time across all boards I frequent.

Yep.
I have seen her in normal clothes, you CAN DEFINITELY tell she lifts, her physique is great!!! It will just take some willpower to get over those mental roadblocks!! Keep up the support and I am sure we can help her to achieve her goal.

Three posts by me… obsessed ahah
Anyways, I was thinking… if the money is the only issue… you could look at it this way… You have already invested X amount of dollars towards gym, supplements, etc, and X amount of time ( that you could have been doing other ‘unselfish’ things ( since you think spending the money on the competition is selfish…)) why not think of all of those costs towards it… really its a small cost in comparison to what you have already put into it. I personally don’t think you need a trainer, maybe an actual competition day preparation trainer would be needed but that’s about it. SO all this time and money that has already been spent is just an investment into the end goal… You being an f’n awesome figure athlete, who should show off all her hard work and success. Thats just my thought.

I understand what ya’ll are sayin’, but keep in mind, it’s not just coaching costs.

It’s swim suit/tanning/posing seminar/membership registration/entry fees on top of everything else.
And I would absolutely need a diet coach for the last 4 months anyway because I have NO clue about any of that.
That would still be like 1000 dollars. If I could afford that shouldn’t I be giving that to my parents for all the support they give me?
Money for my dad for gas??
Clothes for Gabe?
SAVINGS FOR A PLACE TO LIVE.

I invest a lot in this passion already and it DOES fulfill me the way it is. MORE money into it seems unreasonable to me.

Maybe I could specifically put aside like 100/month and do it in a years time. Plan for it better, ya know? Not just use up my savings that were meant for other things.
Also, if I would have to do 2 workouts/day near the end of my prep with added cardio etc, I don’t think my schedule would allow that at this time. I already get up at 5am and have about 30 mins a day to spend with my kid before bed, that’s it.
Not saying never, not even saying probably not, just saying not right now.

 Workout post to follow

OKAY breaking news everyone!!

My workouts are too long…

Who the fuck needs to spend 2 hours doing shoulders?! Somethin’ ain’t right.

I have a really hard time cutting out exercises, how in the hell do people pick things when there are sOOoOOo many wonderful options out there on how to torture yourself?!

I really need to re think things, I think. I also need to stop laminating shit because I am wasting city of Edmonton resources LOL.

K really awesome day even though I hate ass day and had no desire to do any of this shit…

Had another great sleep last night. I don’t want to jinx it, but I think my brain is finally un-manicing itself without turning miserable.
I am going from manic, to peaceful/calm.
It’s usually like
manic/queen of the world
BITCHY AS FUCK
miserable/hopeless
Crying about life
Manic/queen of the world
repeat
Now it’s like
Manic
bitchy as fuck
miserable
content/at peace

OH
Near the beginning of march it will be my 1 year anniversary of promising myself that I was going to stop be a fat ass/lose weight and whatnot.
SO no progress pics until that date and then I will past march 2013-march 2014
Maybe I’ll use my ipad and get a funky photo ap in there or something
THAT MEANS:
For the next 5 or so weeks GAME TIME BRO’S.
Gotta make every rep count.
Not that I don’t do that already, but whatever.
OMG GOTTA GO TO WORKBEYBEYEBE

Wish I could private message you here but anywho…I’d highly suggest you put away that $100/month that you mentioned earlier. Even if you don’t use it for coaching in the future, it’s nice to have a little wild spending fund that you kind of forget about.

If you plan on doing a competition next year, I’d happily take on that role with you. I’ll be working on some nutrition certifications after I complete my own personal body transformation (I’m utilizing coaches under this certification so am learning a lot about it by practicing it myself). Part of the certification I will be earning will require me to actually show my ability to “coach” someone like yourself. This is a long ways away, but just throwing that out there as an option

Content, but never satisfied
To be satisfied would be a nightmare !!!

I know this is awful and pathetic to say but I miss BG so much.
He hasn’t been there in weeks. WEEKS
I know you hate me BG, but I miss you…
I just needed to say that, to get it out of my system.

I know you’ll never read this BG, but it makes me sad that you’re not there grunting and being grumpy every morning, like the good ol’ days.
The days before we ever spoke…
WHen I’d just listen in on you talking with your friends.
And I couldn’t help but crack a smile every time you laughed because it was so endearing.
It was this long strange chuckle type thing. LIke a bunch of mini-laughs all tied together in a string of happiness.
Please come back.
But I really mean stay away because that is what’s best for me.
But come back.
LEAVE FOREVER
COme back just once
NEVER
Please?
DON’T
I LOVEU
FUCK YOU DIE
FUCK ME
But don’t because I loveuu
Um
