Goals For Success?

I am 6’2 173 at 11% body fat. I would like to cut down to 6~7 %. My diet is about 1800 calories and consists of protein shakes, veggies, fruit, and lean meats. A typical day would be Egg whites on whole grain bread, Tuna fish, Surge Workout Fuel then Surge Recovery, Lean steak and veggies, then Metabolic Drive before sleep.

I go to the gym 5x a week for about an hour twenty and then do Hiit in the park for 20 mins. Other than the three supplements I listed, I use HOT-ROX Extreme and BCAA’s. Any thoughts???

And I know people will say you should gain weight first but I just wanna cut for now. …

At 6’2 and 173. Im pretty sure your gonna die if you cut.

There’s not a question in the OP… from the title I guess you just want us to propose goals for you to have? If thats the case then you’re right, everyone will just say that you should gain weight, because you should. You’re in a great position to start gaining.

Dude, I’m 5’8, and just competed a few weeks ago at 173. Let me tell you, my body just wouldn’t let go of any more weight at that point… Obviously I’ve got a bit more LBM than you,… which SHOULD make you ask yourself “what am I even going to look like if I do reach 173 lbs?”

I think you misread his post, he already is 173 lbs. He’s trying to weigh…less.

Quick and easy route- hack off a leg

I was in your same shoes a couple years ago. Weighed 170 at 6’1", wanted to get ripped, and it didn’t happen until I hit 140, actually a little bit under. I was pretty much skin and bones. I had abs though :slight_smile:

I rarely got compliments when I was at a pool with my shirt off. People would say “damn you’re ripped” but if I had a shirt on I got mistaken for a girl probably. Now I’m up to 180 with some heavy lifting along the way ;), and I get compliments all the time from friends saying “Have you been working out?” Even though I don’t have my “MySpace abs” like I did before. It feels 1000X better

Please listen to others, and don’t waste your time cutting.

Just for fun, I put in your stats, with light activity, moderate protein, and three 30 minutes machine work and got 3590 calories.

A recommendation from John Romaniello for dieting is:

Lean Body Mass x 17 = Total Cals during day. So for you, it reads:

173 x 10% bodtfat = 17.3 lbs fat.

173 - 17.3 = 155.7 Thus:

155.7 x 17 = 2646.9 cals a day.

That’s to LOSE weight. Are you eating that much? I doubt it.

You can’t looked ripped and have HAWT ABZZZ without some muscle underneath your skin!

80 minutes of lifting followed by 20 minutes HIIT @ 1800 calories every day??? You are insane.
