Well seeing as how we are both assuming we know how hard he worked we are both talking out of our asses. I will try to find his workout logs or training routines or something to see how hard he worked. And you speak of avoiding a burger like it is easy. LOL discipline with your diet is a very big hurdle for most people weather it’s calorie restrictive or calorie excessive. Sticking to a set meal plan is no harder if you have to eat 6 meals at 6,000 calories than it is if you have to eat 6 meals at 2,500 calories. Of course I know you think and have stated before how much work it is to wipe your ass multiple times a day because of how much you shit on a big diet, so I guess technically it is harder, but not much.

Do I think he was skinny, yes of course he was, he was 2 inches taller than I am and 20lbs lighter. Sure it’s skinny, but do I care that he was skinny? no why the hell would I care? You care.

Brotha please, one thing I know for a fact that it is EASIER for someone to maintain a smaller physique (ripped or not) at well under 200lbs (shit, he’s probably under 170 in those pics) at average height than it is for someone to maintain a ripped physique carrying 30lbs or more than that.

There is no debate there. This guy never experienced needing POUNDS of meat everyday to maintain his body weight or to lose so why would you think it is comparable to someone much more muscular? It isn’t.

How much easier? 1% easier? 5% easier? 50% easier? I mean you used all caps on easier so I must assume at least 30% easier. (cue pink sarcasm font) In fact your use of caps has swayed my opinion over to your side. His prior physique is easy to get and a worthless chariacture of a skinny Metro fag who lives in his moms basement and doesn’t play sports because he might nick his manacure.

V

Glad we agree. Your arguments were pretty weak before your epiphany. Needing 3-5lbs of beef and fish to look like a pro when DIETING can not logically be easier than maintaining a smaller 165lbs physique on only 2,000cals a day. The effort in feeding alone makes it more difficult.

If you want to get into whether benching 400-500lbs is easier than “toning on a Bowflex”, start a new thread.
I’m glad we agree too, now can we please touch tips?

When you live in the USA with 60% of the population overweight, it’s not too shabby. I also can’t fathom why so many of you keep coming on here just to say “he aint all that” I mean it almost, I mean ALMOST reeks of jealosy in here. Why do any of you even care? he’s a friggin PT for soccer moms and donught slurping office workers.

It’s a shame that he didn’t capitalize on this time spent eating by actually lifting weights too.

I would think a personal trainer that is buff is going to attract a wider variety of clients than somebody who is just scrawny but now has the ammunition against his obese clients that he was “fat” once too.

Also, I weep for this country if that lady in the intro was being serious when she thought the 6’2, 176lb bone model had a “perfect body”.

I’m with Prof X. The guy is a jackass. What the hell is there to understand? What chafing feels like? I bet formerly fat guys who are now personal trainers are about a dime a dozen. Wouldn’t they be the ones who can really ‘relate?’

Seems like this guy is doing it to get more clients. He’ll probably get a info-mercial deal with flirty girl fitness after he loses the weight again.

Isn’t there an old saying about walking a mile in someones shoes? Is it the best idea in the history of ideas? Did he attract attention to himself and will it likley lead to something positive for him weather it be an acual better understanding of his clients or thier perception that he has a better understanding? Will he likley make more money after this runs it’s course or will he make less money? I think there are certainly plenty of positives from him doing this.

So the guy is a whore for media attention and will likely capitalize from it. How is this worthy of respect?

I guess in your opinion it’s not. I view it as a savy business move on his part. That, I myself can respect. I don’t hate on people for improving thier lot in life. Or for trying something different.

What the…HE HASN’T DONE SHIT YET. He hasn’t even dieted back down yet you are giving him props for getting fat due to possible publicity he may get when he finally does.

Yes, there are many people clueless enough to think this means something. Yes, actually making a business decision based on this MAY be good business if it works…but until it does, this is one dumb ass move. I could see if he used this to actually bulk up and gain some muscle, but how is it helping anyone else for him to quit training and become really fat?

If he gets a tv show deal out of it, great. THEN it will be a great business move. If this is the end of his 15 minutes of fame, then no, it was just one guy who got lazy on purpose so he could spend more time eating frosted donuts.

if this guy wasnt a shitty personal trainer to start with

he probably wouldnt need to pull a stunt off to get more clients

the way the woman in the video was going on about his body i expected some one bigger is all.

cable crossovers!!! alright fatty, gym porn, the most overused gym movement that provides very little

If this Aussie Personal Trainer is changing his body to actually help his clients, then I applaud him. But no one in this world does anything for anyone without benefiting themselves.

Even if he is an attention whore, he will still have a better understanding and it can help him in motivating fatties to get in shape. He has a taste of what its like to be fat and I believe it will help him in helping people.

DebraD and Pro X = So damn negative.

I actually find this funny. I am sure it was fun for him to gain that weight seeing as it allowed him to sit around and enjoy all of the shit he had probably avoided before. I just think gaining body fat without any muscle to that degree is a dumb move. He didn’t have much muscle to begin with and any he did have has no doubt atrophied. That means his metabolism is going to be shit until he burns it off.

Also, since he was once in shape, his progress will not be the same as someone who was completely obese and untrained to start with. He may actually gain more muscle because of this but he doesn’t strike me as the type to make that work for him. He will probably avoid the heavy weights so he can go back to the same body type he had before.

Damn. You guys are right and I was so very wrong
Aww!

For a “Get a Life” thread (NOT Bodybuilding or Rate my Physique), his former build was impressive to me. His bulking/fattening was less so, because I know from experience how EASY it is to get fatter. It is so easy for me to eat over 7000 calories per day. It is so much harder to control myself and eat less than 3000 calories per day. The one thing I had a hard time believing is that he only lost 10 lbs in 6 weeks. If that continues, he will lose weight at slower rate than me and I am a retard when it comes to dieting or building muscle for that matter.

are you serious?

he basically went from.

no muscle and no fat

to no muscle and fat.

are you seeing how he is training? he has no idea how to actually get strong and build muscle, the reason he is doing this publicity shit is because he can’t make a living training people, because he fucking sucks at it

The world of Personal Trainers can’t be filled with people like Dan John, Christian T(I’m not spelling it), and Charles Poliquin. Not every PT will be jacked and a legitimate weight lifter.

But if those weak Personal Trainers can inspire fatties to lose a few pounds, then I’ll support them. Hopefully that Australian Personal Trainer can take his experience and actually use it to help fatties.

I shouldn’t use the term fatties. That’s mean.

Dentists should stop brushing their teeth. I mean, how can clients really feel comfortable with a dentist who hasn’t had terrible teeth before?
