Deficit DL: 385x1 (Easy, with a hook grip)
Front Squat: 265x1

Main ‘accessory’ lifts went up more than the main one FML

Who’s down for an asterisks comp involving front squats, incline and weighted pullups? Not at the expense of the original deal, but as an add on.

Today

Flat Bench: 230x1
Floor Press (1-2 count on Pause): 205x1

Progress because 225 was on a wider, higher Bench, while this 230 was on a Bench that basically sits lower than my knee. Whatever. Getting there.

Pressed 70kg then got a 90kg push press.

Also yesterday pulled my conventional deadlift max from a deficit.

My squat number can be updated to 267.

Got a 180kg squat to good depth today, no vid but I’ll be back in a few months with a video of it for reps

I’m going to actually remove OHP out of my program for a bit, but still plan on attacking it later on. Just saying won’t have updates on that particular lift for a bit.

Getting used to 405 for tiny ass partials got 335 for around 4 half reps. Depth will come. In two weeks or so I’m going to crush 370 ish

Got a PL meet in exactly 6 weeks from now.

I’ve always made the mistake of being too greedy and rushing to get my numbers up, up, up…trying to take it slowly this year. Get some gains, maintain those gains, and then push into new territory.

Hit the 140kg bench last week but was bit of a nasty grinder. Also have hit 170kg squat for a double recently and pulled 210kg last night which went up ok. Im trying to organise a mock meet at the uni gym i train at where i can try and hit all the targets in one day and get them filmed properly etc.

Finally moving up the OH Press- knocked out 155 lbs a couple day ago up from 135. Hopefully I can move the numbers on the other 3 this 5/3/1 cycle as well. Also, added 10lbs to the Dead lift to get 375, it was ugly and I saw Jesus mid-pull… but I locked it out.

Also, I listed the maxes with Bench and squat reversed on the first post so my current #'s should be:

305/235/375/155 (lbs)

Tried a 210kg DL tonight, got it off the floor easily enough but couldn’t straighten my back.

Got 180kg again today but beltless this time. I need to fix my problem with my hips rising, don’t know if its a weakness or if I just need to think about getting my chest up first.
