315, 225, 405, 135lbs
Performed these last week.
I wanna get in on this. I need to make my goals more accountable anyway…
Haven’t tested a 1rm on these for a while as I don’t even usually bench press.
So current maxes are;
Bench-250
Squat-360
Deadlift-495 (this is my only lift above the goal weights)
Overhead press-170
Personal goals for 2014;
Deadlift-555
Back squat-405 (prefer front squat though)
Front squat-355 (currently 305)
Overhead press-205
Bench press-315 (prefer incline press though)
Incline press-255 (currently 210)

I have a long ways to go. I’m going to target 90% of the original goals.
I don’t do any of these lifts regularly, yet.
Current Maxes
Bench: 170
Squat: 235
Deadlift: need to test
OHP: 130
@ BW 147 lbs
For reference:
90%
Bench: 277
Squat: 356
Deadlift: 436
OHP: 178
80%
Bench: 246
Squat: 317
Deadlift: 387
OHP: 158
Even if you only made it to the 80% numbers, that would be a huge accomplishment given where you are now. Particularly the Bench Press, that’s quite a jump in a year. Definitely a worthy goal.

What the fucking shit lol. Dude I don’t know that fucking anyone ever in the history of mankind has ever been able to do this. Big Z’s best is 440 for 5. I’m not sure that even he could manage 405 for 10. I fucking love your drive dude.
A 700 deadlift for 10 is pretty insane too, is it not? And this is a guy who trains for bodybuilding. I feel like I need to re-think some of my training.

LoL. I started my beard last year during the Hockey Playoffs (GO WINGS!!!) But I have to keep it trimmed since I’m in a professional environment. I’m trying to see how far I can take it though.
Just give it a try man! It’s more fun than you think and the ladies love it.

Well certainly, but, remarkable as it is, there are multiple people today capable of such a feat. Shaw, Magnusson, KK, Felix, Zydrunas, etc. (how nuts would it be to be in that company!)
405 for 10 pressing without leg drive though. The number drops to maybe one. Big Z did 440 for 5 back in like 2005 or something. So he might be capable of it now, but I’m not sure.

Stupid question from new Internet guy. Can our goals be different than those listed? (I already hit some of those numbers, not others) Are pics/video required (have issues with pics - cannot grow beard anyways).
Also, if those goals are an indicator of good strength relative to parts (ie. chest to back), man… My shoulders and chest are weak compared to the posterior. Is there a class for training “anterior chain”?
It’s just a fun challenge for those that haven’t gotten there yet. No reason why other challenges can’t be added, imo. In here or in another thread. There’s lots of challenge threads on here especially in the power lifting sub-forum.
Yeah, we’re a friendly bunch.
It’d be good if we could keep a degree of specificity in here though, just so it’s a bit easier to compare stuff. We’ll all probably end up posting highlights from other areas of training though (front squats, close grip bench, push press, etc).
One Armed Row and Bench Critique - Beginners - Forums - T Nation This is a good thread where lots of the people who aren’t busy squatting 5 plates yet post training highlights.
Happy to add your name to the list though.
Thanks guys
I think my neuro drive is bad or something. My 1-rep max is like 10-20lbs more than my 3 rep max, but whatever. Strength is strength, progress is progress.
Bench ~250lbs goal ~300lbs just one goddamn time
Deadlift ~505lbs goal ~550
Squat ~450lbs ~500
OHP ~200lbs standing, ~115lb DBs seated (it’s a shorter range of motion) ~goal 125lb DBs
facial hair makes me look like stereotypical sex offender, and/or strangely ill.
mostly just trying to get back to where I was a year ago before my accident.
Will post pics or videos once i figure out how to edit out my head. Have other distinuguishing features and/or proof

Lol, I was thinking the same thing
Bauber, those are unreal numbers. It’s hard for me to even fathom a human being able to do some of those haha. You’re a monster!
I would also love to see some videos whenever you get a chance. It would be so insane.

Don’t worry yourself too much about proof. It’s literally pointless for anyone to lie in this thread other than internet cool points.
By the way, I’m 240lbs, 6% bodyfat, and a hardgainer.

I think so too. Numbers haven’t been a focus, so it’ll be a welcome change.
I’m pretty sure the 90% numbers are achievable for the squat and deadlift, and 80% for the bench within a year. OHP is on hold until my shoulders heal.

Bench - 465 x 7 Goal - 495 x 10
Squat - 495 x 10 Goal - 585 x 10 (Moved away from heavy squatting due to my knees feeling like an old ass man)
Dead - 655 x 10 Goal - 700 x 10 (deadlift has always been my easiest lift I fucking love doing them. I think the longer arm combination plus my relatively short height gives me about the perfect build for them)
OHP 315 x 10 Goal - 405 x 10 (this may never happen due to them giving my shoulders hell)
Thanks brother. I just keep my reps higher and gradually progress up. I feel like I might be near the max of what my body can handle though. Shit starts not feeling so young after awhile pushing so hard lol.

Just for a real challenge, I’ll aim to get my 1RM to your 10 hahaha.
KG’s
Bench: 1201 - require 2251
Squat: 1801 - require 2651
Dead: 2001 - require 3201
Push Press: 1001 - require 1851
That’s gonna be quite the feat if I pull this off… so see you end of year with video’s

None of whom consider themselves to be bodybuilders. That’s what’s so crazy about Bauber. The fact that 700x10 is actually plausible for him (I don’t believe the press is realistic) is what I think is incredible.

I’m certainly aware of the benefits of said supplementation. I was just suggesting that incorporating high rep (15reps+) training might be more beneficial to maximal strength gains than I thought.

I will 100% say that it is. I started with it about 2 years ago and my strength has climbed dramatically.
