My 5/3/1 TMs are still to low to post anything of substance. [/quote]

I am kind of in the same boat. Recently reset most of my lifts on my LP and still working back up.

Thanks guys

Spidey, based off of your PRs recently you’re set up for some good maxes too.

I like Joker sets for getting heavy sets in when the top 531 set is still in the lighter rep ranges. Since you’re already fatigued from the rep set it’s kind of self limiting, you don’t get any big systemic fatigue from hitting true maxes and when you go in fresh you get an easy PR.

Pressed 65kg x 4 and push pressed 90kg x 2 - I’m still a long way away on this one.

Ya, the press is well, depressing.

What you did there…

Got on the antidepressants

62.5kg x 6 and 72.5kg x 1 - both 2.5kg PRs

Also push pressed 100kg on the third try.

Nice!

Do you think the push press is helping your OHP?

So I am going to join back in on this. After my (failed) 17 week contest prep I lost a decent amount of strength (also lost 26 lbs). Slowly trying to bring my maxes back to where I was but hopefully at about 15 lbs lighter (189 at my strongest). Running Beyond 5/3/1, Option 2, 6 Day template. Already feel my strength coming back.

My current lifts @ 174 bw are: 380, 265, 435, 160

I would hardly call it a failure. You did more/went further than the vast majority of people will ever do in their life and you have a legit reason for stopping.

Don’t be so hard on yourself.

Thanks man. Appreciate it. Maybe failed was the wrong word.

Bright side is it is time to bulk and get strong as fuck!

judging by your avi picture, your contest prep was anything but a failure Grizzly.

So I think I’m mostly at all the lifts, although I’ve never even tried a max strict curl (was that on here originally? I don’t remember it…)

Recent PR’s are as follows: still at a 505 deadlift. 405x10 deadlift 2 weeks ago. last time I maxed squat was last September at 405, which I’ve got on video. Should be higher now. Bench press PR of 315 a few days ago, which I’ll be posting here. 2 power clean/ push press reps at 205 last night. Not currently training my strict press, but I’ll test it in a few weeks. Morning bodyweight is about 182.

I don’t do it regularly, more just to have some fun moving heavy weight overhead, so can’t really say. When I’ve done it in the past I’ve never noticed anything special, I benefit more from volume on the lift I actually want to improve normally.

Interesting, thanks.

Hit a 175kg squat and 230kg deadlift in competition (IPF). That 180kg squat is sooooo freaking close I can taste it…

Nice one ^

Pulled 180kg for 12 today, not going heavy on pulls for a while. Predicted max 252kg - I’ve failed to pulled 220kg three times in th past, so I can only lol at this.

Pulled 190kg x 10 beltless - again, around 250kg predicted max. Looks like I have the lower body lifts down.

190kg for 11
