Well, day one for me. Not all that hard yet, I guess it will get harder. I’m going to monitor my fat mass vs lean mass so if I start losing any muscle I can drop this quick. I’ll be a guniea (don’t know how to spell it) pig for the ladies out there.
Day 4. Ran/Walked 1.25 mis this morn. Feeling a bit leaner/face tighter. Makes a big difference doing cardio in morning on empty stomach for energy levels during the day. Had a frightening experience on the crapper this morn…Gave birth to a beutiful baby turd that took 3 min to expel. Definately need something to help with that! Feel ok-have cravings for steak and chicken on the grill!!! Want to avoid though b/c am planning on staying on for only 2 weeks total. Hell, what’s 2 weeks out of my life? If I do it right I will never question what my results MAY have been,right? Memory and concentration suck. Can anyone out there tell me how the 2nd week is compared to the first in regards to fat loss?

Thats what I am here for Michelle!! But look you will be thinner…and thats what matters…right? That chocolate glazed doughnut doesnt mean a thing…nope not to me (slobbering) nor does having any more friends (scaring them all off) or family…or a place to work…nope all that matters is I am cut!!! LOL!! It really isn’t that bad after the first week, I am just having fun with you…but stick it out the first week…and feel free to bitch and moan all about it on the board…look at mine from last Friday night…keep the faith and good luck…you go girl!! Well I figured it was about time I posted again since it has been a few days since I had. It is day 14 for me and I actually feel great. It helped the other day when family members noticed my slimmer waist and thinner face. So far I am looking a 12 pounds lost and my waist had decreased by an 1 1/2 inches. Here is what i am taking for those that want to know. Pro blend 55, 5-6 shakes a day, 5 Tbsp of flax oil spread out. 30 grams of glutamine, 10 Tribex(5x twice a day), 3 Tbsp of Methoxy-7 and 6 MD6/day. No loss in strength and I am doing my same workouts. My stamina isnt what it was until I added Power Drive on Monday. I must say WOW, it is a must have for this diet. I don’t know if it is my mind believing the hype I have read from others on the product but most of my lifts have been higher then they were before I started the fast. The big test will come tonight for it is the first leg day since i started Power Drive. I have had no real cravings which really surprises me and I have had only 2 real meals of a Chicken Caesar Salad since i started. The only thing i hate about this diet is the Toxic waste mouth, but it is a small sacrifice to make. Keep it up ladies and gentlemen, it will be worth it in the end. My plan is to stick to it for 28 days, and I just visualize how i will look when it is all over.

Actually, i was going to try the diet but i am pretty confused where to start.
I am 140 lbs 5’6 33" waist. I posted something on the forum and someone suggested me the fat fast diet. I am skinny but not much either and have too big of abs.
Can you guys list me in point forms of what i should do?
1>. How to calculate your daily caloric intake?
2>. How many meals do you need to have 1 day?
3>. I am currently have Udo’s choice, is this ok to use?
4>. I workout 4x a week. How many should i do?
5>. How many aerobics in a week should i do?
6>. I read some of the posts that most of your meals are MRP. Can you take Grow at bedtime?
7>. If you workout first thing in the morning… what should you have as a pre-workout meal?
8>. What is the post-workout meal?
9>. Are the caloric intake the same as for non workout days?

O.k. Day 8 I’m down 12 lbs total, people are noticing, and it’s COOL! The downsides are: blatant stupidity, lack of endurance, and NO PUMP! Normally my biceps or calves will burn for at least an hour after I workout, but all I get is a dull ache. I’m finding that I sleep a lot more too (normally 7-8 now about 10-11). I’d like to say that I feel good or bad, but I feel, well, numb.
Day 5. Feel good. Lifted last night. Bench actually went up! Very little pump. 11Lbs. lighter since the start. Weekend coming up. Does anyone think a big juicy steak would hurt. If so,I’ll just forget it…No cravings for sweets/carbs…Might try some finasol-anyone out there have any input on this???

So, are any of you competitive athletes? I’d love to shed this kind of weight in just weeks, but my rugby season is starting and I need to be able to last 80 minute games! could I have some carbs before each game you think? I don’t want to destroy the diet!
Jonathan - do a search on 'fat fast' and read the original two articles, they will help you with many of your questions, the paper mag from December (I think that's the one) had more info too. No, you can't have Grow! before bed, it has a TON of carbs (comparatively) and the whole point of Fat Fast is to NOT have carbs.

I did the search and read the fat fast diet article but it was customized only for Brock.
How am i supposed to know what calories/day to start with?
Also, what are you supposed to take before and after workout when you fat fast?
How many meals per day are you allowed to have?
What should you be taking prior to bedtime? I usually go to bed at 11.30 pm and i took a serving of Grow! at 11.00 pm or 11.15pm.
If Grow is not appropriate for bedtime, would Advanced protein or other protein shake with little carb be ok to use?
I am not going to start before everything clears up.

I am getting ready to start the FF diet. I just have a couple of questions for all you experienced FF’ers. Do you use 3 servings a day of metamucil or a similar product? If I do, it pushes me into about 32.5g of carbs. Will that be too much to start ketosis? Also, do you use flaxseed oil in every protein shake? One more, if a T vixen wanted to do the diet, what would she use in place of Androsol or Tribex? Thanks in advance. Good luck all!
Jonathan…take Brock’s info and adapt it. (from his articles)“you can only ingest 50-60% of your resting energy expenditure in calories per day.”“I won’t ever let my total caloric intake exceed 1,300 calories per day.” so…figure out how many calories you need, then do the math. He broke his down to 5 meals a day by dividing his total into 5 equal portions. Take some time, read both articles and this entire forum topic, you’ll find 90% of your answers are here already. If you don’t understand about ketosis (and from your questions I assume you don’t) do a search on this site and on the web. Learning about the Atkins Diet is a good place to start because phase 1 is similar to FF.
Hey Michelle, as far as your competitive athlete question, I compete in the Martial arts, and right now sparring 3-3 minute rounds in class is KILLING me. The tank just runs dry and I just kinda lumber thru it. In April I am competing for the Nationals, and I am trying to figure out how best to reintroduce carbs and when…will see how it goes!!

Ok, seems people want to know how to calculate how many calories to give themselves daily. Well, what I did was just follow Brock’s 1300 cals a day motto. I get about that much by having 4 whey/flax shakes daily (or 3 plus a solid fish, chicken, beef dinner) Udo’s is fine…I use flax though. Workout 3 days a week, with 20-30 minutes of cardio right after weight training. I’ve been using straight psyllium from the health food store twice a day (morning and evening). Only about 4 grams of carbs each, not enough to really screw up the ketosis. I think the sweetened Metamucil has added sugar, so check out the sugar free brand or go to the health food store and buy some psyllium. I was thinking about buying some guar gum (fiber) which thickens up, provides fiber, and makes you feel full. I’ll let you guys/gals know if it helps. Jonathan, Advanced Protein is perfect instead of Grow!, but I’m using left over Designer protein and EAS’s Simply Whey. I’m also using 3 grams of HMB daily (HAHAHAHA…JUST JOKING! Had you there for a minute huh? snicker snicker). Ideally, use flax oil (or Udo’s) with every shake. I think Brock mentioned that he read you should have 1 day a week of pure protein intake with no fats on non workout days. Haven’t tried that yet. Keep calories the same on training, non-training days. Just make sure you have one of your shakes right after training. I’m taking a thermogenic and Power Drive (1 1/2 serv) before my workouts. I would think that a T-Vixen could take Methoxy-7 instead of Tribex or Androsol. Seems perfect to me. Hope I didn’t miss anything!
Sugar free, orange flavored Metamicil has 5 grams of carbs per serving and 20 calories. The second ingredient listed, after psyllium husk, is maltodextrin. I’d suggest you use a pure, unflavored product instead, something like Colon Cleanse by Health Plus Inc. No calories, no carbs- the texture is like trying to drink lawn clippings but it works for me. You can find it in most heath food stores, but I don’t think I’ve seen it in GNC.

GNC has Colon Cleanse, I saw it there today when I was looking for flax oil. Speaking of flax oil, GNC only has little tiny bottles that will only last a few days…does anyone know where to get larger quantities?
Wopper, you give me no hope! I’m gonna have to just have carbs and ruin the ketosis on saturdays. This will probably destroy my overall results but I’m not giving up rugby!!! I will be skipping the post match drink-ups however (well, attending not drinking!), so it’s not as bad as it could be!!!
Hey Michelle - a guy at Biotest suggested that doing the fat fast without nandrosol could make a good bit of muscle loss because of the low calories. I asked him about up’ing the calories and he pretty much was against it. I would had ditched the idea of the fat fast but he gave me the number of the lady that had been having great results with low doses of Nandrosol - she’s been using prohormones for (I think she said) several years. She suggested I keep the dosing very low to start (5-7 sprays) and stay very in tune with my body inc ase changes might occur. But both the guy at Biotest and the lady I spoke with didn’t see a problem with the Nandrosol because it doesn’t turn into testosterone in the body. I wouldn’t even try something like this, except I’m done having children and I want to test this out. If I wasn’t done having children I doubt I’d play with hormones. But hey - someone has to try. This lady has had awesome results - no side effects. I’m gonna get in on the gamble. Besides, virilization doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time and the hints would come long before the actual visible signs.
As for my little experiment: so far - no real diffference in anything. Same energy, attitude, and libido. Only difference was last night at the gym my lifts dropped about 5% instead of the usual 50% when I go very low carb. That was promising. (I was glad too because one of the new women’s national football league teams was there working out. I’d have hated to look like a newbie at the weights.)
For the woman and the men who don’t want or can’t take Androsol or Norandrosol. I am not using either one and have not lost any muscle yet. I am on day 15 today and since I started I have actually lifted heavier on my some lifts then before the fast. I listed what I am taking in a earlier post so you can look there, but I honestly believe you can do this with Tribex and Methoxy and not lose muscle. I am doing my same workouts, 5 days a week, with cardio for a 1/2 hour minumum 4 times, usually all 5 times. If things change and I lose muscle I will update everyone. I don’t want to use my Androsol because I am going to do a cycle of Finasol for 3 weeks after I finish the Fast.
