Well, I cheated yesterday. I’m on day 9, I feel pretty bad for cheating but great in my workout. Everything went up, probably just the mental boost all the carbs gave me. “I will not cheat”, this will be my mantra.
Well guys…day 3 is almost over. Had a bad moment today, the secretary was eating a chocolate frosted doughnut and she caught me staring and slobbering…probably thought it was her I was slobbering over…but she has no idea!! LOL! Right now I am confused as hell…day 3…I have seen tightening around the tummy, but the tape measure says my arms have grown 1/16 of an inch from when I started this diet. I am mixing andro and nandro in the same bottle, and my poundages in the gym are actually better than last weeks. Energy sucks…but strength is great. As I posted earlier, my modification is taking liquid creatine, so perhaps the size increase is due to that because I haven’t taken creatine for about 4 months…or it could be the andro/nandro combo. I have never mixed them together before. Either way…I am confused…but in a good way. Just got to keep the secretary from bringing in those damn doughnuts!!!
Whopper, which liquid creatine are you taking? Ribose-C? I was thinking of using a serving of it after workouts, but don’t know how much it would slow down the weight loss…I’m on my third day (I think!) and I’m lacking energy and feeling STUPID! Only lost about a pound so far, probably just water weight. Guys, the shakes are much tastier with unsweetened coolaid thrown in and a packet of equal!
Well day 6 is almost done for me and so far so good. I haven’t lost any strength but my stamina during my workouts is definatley down. I just feel drained after the first couple of sets. I have some Power Drive on the way so I hope this taken with my MD6 will give me the boost I need during workouts. Tomorrow I will take my measurements again to see where I am at. Today was my first real test of my resolve to do this. A lot of bad personal stuff has happened yesterday and today, but I aim to not turn to a nice pasta meal to make me feel better. I didn’t have much focus in the gym today, but I made a promise to myself and I am to keep at this till the end. To all you guys on this, keep it up, we can do it, if we really want it.
tommyboy, I almost forgot…can’t say if using 5-HTP is helping me, using 100 mg. daily. I still craved the fresh bread yesterday at the grocery store! I’ll finish the bottle anyhow…I don’t know if I would be worse off without it, know what I mean?
!Whopper! I can’t thank you enough man. The creatine suggestion is AMAZING. I’m taking straight creatine (no fancy transport system), and it did wonders for my workout today! I mean I killed the fuckin’ weights today and this is the end of day 10…4 more days till two weeks. I also noticed some of the earlier respondants to the FFSG are no longer sharing thier thoughts…did you guys quit??? Surprisingly enough, I am not experiencing any carb craves. Wonder what the hell thats about?
Hey Watts, glad I could help. For me it was just an experiment…but it seems to be helping. As far as the brand…I don’t think they will let me post it, but it is a liquid creatine I got at the health food store on major discount (marked down from 25 bucks to 8 bucks) and it contains 8 grams of carbs with 6 grams of creatine in an aloe vera juice base. I take 2 servings right after my workout. As I stated, strength is increasing, and arm size has increased while waist went down. One thing I have noticed however is BITCHIN DOMS which is something I havent gotten to any major degree in years. I get it slightly after I change routines, but nothing like this…anyone else experience it? Any guesses why?

Thats why this board is here…for support when you have a down day…keep up the diet…you need something in your life now that is positive…quitting it will just be another negative piled on top of whatever other shit your going thru. remember…to the victor go the spoils baby!! and when the victor has a lean ripped bod…we all know what those spoils are!!! Here’s a tip guys…if you’re having intense cravings for sweets, go buy some sugar free vitamin C chewables (I got a big bottle at Costco for cheap). Less than 1 g of carbs and I think zero calories…yuuuuuuuuuuum! Just don’t get carried away, or you’ll get the runs.
Whopper, i noticed the doms too. My legs hurt for days after a pretty simple workout. I wonder why too. Well, I’m on day 10 now and have to do another leg workout today (great). I find myself very sleepy lately, yesterday I took a 2 hour nap and still slept from 10 - 8. Do you guys feel tired too? See ya, stay strong.
Day 7 boys, took my measurements this morning. So far I have lost 9 pounds and 1 1/4 inches off my waist. No change in my bicep size. I am totally stoked about this. I feel real good. Haven’t noticed the flatness yet, I think next week I will add some creatine to the mix once the flatness starts. Look forward to that powerdrive getting here so I have that jump in my workouts. What I am really surprised at is the pump I can still get in the gym without having the carbs. Catch ya all later. Got my wedding in May and I am gonna be one big ripped mother!!!
Day 4 boys. What I am beginning to notice is that stamina after max lift is decresing. In other words…warm up set, first set, second set, then max set reps are all increasing. After that it is all downhill. decreasing sets where I would get 8 to 10 I am now getting 6 to 8 or less…however strength is increasing before that…so I guess it is all good…not too sure tho…lol!!
I will start my FF Saturday or Sunday. I will try to eat everything I know I will crave, because I plan to stay on this diet for 45 DAYS!!! After that, it will be the anabolic diet for the whole summer. I’m really scared though. 45 days without food…mmm…at least I won’t be tempted too much, since I won’t go to the grocery. I’m happy that there is a support group because I’ll need it bad!!!

Andre, good luck bro…this is day 3 for me, and I’m starting to lose weight, but my energy is GONE! My brain isn’t functioning well without the carbs…feel kind of dumb. But the more I persevere, the better I feel about myself! Get different flavored protein powders so you don’t get sick of one type…it helps.
Day 3. I’m fucking hungry. My partner at work was eating some frwsh coconut last night. I HATE coconut, but I almost drooled on her. On a positive note, the scales already show 8-9 lbs off (is that possible, or did someone mess with my scales?). Here’s a legit question that I’ll also post seperately, what about a “cheat” day on the ffd? I mean, one day of STRICT keto, just so I can get some real meat.
I’ve tried it for a couple of days and it becomes gross drinking protein and flax all the time. I havent read everone elses posts and I’m sure it was mentioned, but I’ll say it anyway, why not do this with food instead. I believe there’s any proven benefits of whey protein at preserving muscle over eggs, beef. Dr Serrano even says they are the best sources for putting on mass, and in an article says they’re best for fat loss b/c they dont produce a significant insulin response. Point is, I doubt its necessary or a significant fat loss would take place over eating the same amount of calories from chicken, beef, flax and fish oil over drinks alone. I respect the efforts anyone who does it makes. If it’s not a problem then more power to you, but if you’re gonna quit after a few days b/c u need to eat, then use food, just keep calories and ratio’s the same as you would with your shakes.
Flex is right guys! You can have some real food once in a while as long as it doesn’t have carbs. Ketogenic diets have been around forever…long before whey protein shakes, so you can eat if you want. The reason Brock made the FF with just whey/flax shakes is because he only wanted to consume healthy fats. So if you guys are at the point of quitting the diet because your dying for some real food, go get yourself a nice juicy steak!
Well…I am the worlds hardest fat gainer. I could eat a whole pig and not put an once of fat on me. Call me lucky call me whatever. I put on about 30-35 lbs. in the past year and half and it is all muscle. but let me tell you it was the hardest thing I ever done. I gain weight so hard and now I feel like I’m stuck here and little fat wouldn’t hurt. What I’m trying to say is that for those of you who want to gain a bunch, fat is ok as long as you keep it in control. Look at Lee Priest…all he eats off season is Cheeseburgers fries and milk shakes. Little protein and all fat and carbs. When the competition comes all you need to remember is that you should’t pay attention to how your food taste (who cares about taste?) but look at what your body absorbs (got that from somewere and don’t know where from-not my line). Hapy fasting!
Infinity-day 12 for me! And yes, I lost about 5 lbs. in the first 4 days, so your results are possible. Yet I cannot belive that you are getting enough water. I’m drinking anywhere from 1-2 gallons a day. (its the only way I stay full). I would suggest sucking more water down because 9 lbs. in 3 days is way too much. -To every one else- The best whole foob source for me is tuna/salt/pepper/oliveoil. its a great combo! Don’t worry about whole food meals because I have one about every day, just to perserve my sanity. It works just fine. shoot, im down 14 lbs. in 12 days!
