I’m still around. Still sick (101 fever currently). I’m really wishing I was still on the FF and I miss my home - um, I mean gym. I want to start the FF on monday but my T-man has all but begged me to wait until the 9th so we can do the FF as a team. I guess I’ll wait for him. If I can just keep my calories reasonable while I’m sick so my top two abs don’t hide again, I guess I’ll be happy. Good luck Michelle. You’re gonna get nice and lean and I’m gonna be waiting on my t-man while trying not to gain any fat. Come on April 9th!!!
beyondmuscle and netrition have good prices on Udo’s choice. Depends on quantity and shipping to where you are.
mp…you can add the flax oil to hot food, just don’t cook with it. Musclhead, I’ll get back to you about the ketosis thing.
BTW - to those of you using keto stix. If you are drinking enough water you may not register as being in ketosis very deep (even though you probably are) ketostix are not very accurate, they are just the best thing we have. I drink 1 - 2 gallons of water whenever I go low carb and the ketostix don’t even turn color unless I forget to drink my water.
For those of you using only Methoxy-7 for muscle preservation, what is the dosage you are using? I’m 5’8, 185, and plan on using only Methoxy, no Androsol. What do you think would be the best dosage to use, keeping cost efficiency in mind? Thanks.
I figured out what to do about the HORRIBLE flavor of flax oil ruining my shakes. I got Advanced Protein. Ok, maybe I sound like a commercial, but I’m being 100% honest. I mixed the shake, then tasted it before I put the flax in. It was great, but the flax destroys the decent flavor of my Designer Protein, so I held little hope for my milk chocolate flavored Advanced Protein…I was wrong. No flavor change at ALL. I can actually drink my shake and not add 3 tbsp of atkins syrup to it (makeing it sweet as hell, but not all that great overall.) Good job Biotest!!! and it has a good, thick consistancy too! I may actually like this diet…ok, I won’t go that far, but if the stuff you’re drinking makes you gag try the biotest stuff!
I’m interested to hear what day everyone is on anf there results.-Watts-
Jayson I am using Methoxy and Tribex to keep my mass. For Methoxy I am using 1 tablespoon 3 times a day. It isn’t cheap 1 bottle every 5 1/2 days but it works. I am on Day 19 now and haven’t lost any muscle yet. Without Andro you can’t skimp on the Tribex or Methoxy otherwise your body will cannabalize itself.
Ironbabe, thanks for the info on the water intake and ketostix-makes a lot of sense.
Am at day 10-worked legs, back, and bi’s last night. No loss in strength on squats-very refreshing since all other “clean” diets have shown decrease in strength for me. Am down almost 17 lbs. so far. I think the next 2 weeks will be interesting to see in regards to my results. Still waiting for someone out there to tell me how their 2nd and 3rd week compared to the first to fat loss. I love reading this post every day (ck it every couple of hours) during the work week. Really strengthens my motivation.
Post on fellow fat fasters!!!
day 3. things are going well. I weighed myself on Saturday, started the fast on Monday. Today, Wednesday, I’m 4.5 pounds lighter. Woo Hoo! results FINALLY!!!
Question: In the middle of day 3 right now and “Ouch!” Can I expect the hunger pangs to decrease anytime soon? I’m down 7lbs already(most of it water, but I can see 6 abs now!). Any advice on dealing with the cravings and mood swings?
Drink lots and lots and lots of water, I think that’s what has kept the hunger pains away for me. I’ve also been adding psyllum husks (for fiber) to two shakes a day, they fill me up a lot more than the plain ones. I used Advanced Protein last night for the first time, and then this morning, and that made me feel fuller than the Designer Protein, I’m not sure why. I have no idea why the mood swings haven’t kicked in yet, usually I turn into a total bitch on keto diets. However, this is the first time one has actually worked…so there is something different going on, but I don’t know what or why.
Today is day 20 for me and as of this morning I am down 16 pounds and another 1/8 of an inch in my waist making it just a shade under 2 1/2 inches so far. No sign of strenth loss in any of my lifts and no increase either as this was expected. I myself have no problems with the hunger pains. I feel phenomenal which is probable do the fact of how my clothes fit now which just gives me that lift. I found the first week the toughest, since then it has not been that rough. A big thing for me is the amount of water I intake which is between 5-7 litres a day(Just can’t go for any long car rides). The water and the MD6 keep all the hunger pangs away. I am still looking for another inch in my waist and about 5 - 8 more pounds. My end date was going to be Apr 8 but i might go a week longer depending on where I am at.
Day 3 like a lot of you folks. Hunger pains big time and total lack of energy. All I think about is eating, so it’s a constant no-holds-barred grudge match between me and my stomach; I think I’m going to have to start punching myself in the gut to show it who’s boss! If there’s no difference between whole foods and protein powders I’m definitely going to start subsidizing my intake with cans of tuna, as having one last night was like having the best gourmet meal in the world after 2 days of shakes. I’m also thinking about tagging in the much discussed Biotest protein since I’m not digging the whack-ass powder I have right now. Probabably going to up the methoxy intake like Tyler suggested as I, too, am doing this sans-Androsol. Jeez, I’m light-headed and lethargic…
I’ve been reading the messages. It is good to hear I am not the only one getting an ass-whoopin’ from this diet. This is my second week of hell. That flaxseed oil is not getting any easier to take down. I used to take it by tablespoon. Now I just take a big shot of it at once. I lasted three weeks last time I did this and ended up tryng to eat taco bell out of business. I’m going for six weeks. I’m going to start morning aerobic training(kickboxing and TKD) with night weight training using mainly my own body weight. So far my body is responding well, but I can do better…time to turn up the juice and see if I can blow away some personal limits.
Day 3 for me and so far it’s going good. After a horrible time getting to sleep the first night on the ECA stack I lowered my dosage and took my last pills at 3pm(ECA really nails me when I haven’t taken it for awhile but it tapers off after a week). Seemed to do the trick as I got to bed relatively early and slept very good. I feel better today than yesterday and I think it’s because my body has kicked into fat burning mode. I’m not gonna bother buying Ketostix as there is no way in hell you can’t get into ketosis in short time with this diet. Hunger was a little worse yesterday than the first day, probably because I used a lower dosage of ECA and also because I still think my body is in shock from not having getting it’s usual share of solid foods. So far today I’ve had my morning shake and will be having my lunchtime one soon. Hunger pangs are off and on but not unbearable. Drinking a lot of liquids no doubt helps out though it doesn’t last long. Controlling hunger during morning and afternoon is not a problem for me as I’ve never eaten much in these times. Night is the hard part because I am a nocturnal feeder by nature and because this is when you sit down at the tube and see 100 commercials for fast food to remind you of what you’re not getting. At any rate Im down almost 12 pounds already in the 3 days but I know a great deal of that is obviously water. I had been dieting last week but I binged on carbs all weekend long and got extremely bloated. I probably wouldn’t have lost than much water so quickly had I not been retaining so much. I’ve also had about 5 bowel movements since I started the diet which accounts for some weight loss(I told you I binged all weekend :P). I have noticed a slight decrease in my waist size already and some more definition in the midsection though again it’s probably mostly because I was bloated beforehand. I had eggs and bacon for dinner last night and it really hit the spot and made me feel full. I don’t recommend anyone attempt the diet without having one solid meal a day. Having nothing but shakes might be marginally better but you won’t last as long on the diet due to food deprevation. Think of your solid meal as a reward for keeping up the diet all day long. I eat my meal at dinner which helps curb my apettite until I go to bed. I usually slam one last shake an hour before bedtime to help curb hunger pangs during the night and when I wake up. Also exercise helps to curb my apetite as well. I started my aerobics last night with some mild hunger pangs but after I was done 20 mins later I wasn’t hungry at all. I was able to take a shower and relax before fixing my meal. At any rate things are going good and my motivation to stay on the diet is very high. If I get any urges to stop I am going to look at pictures of cottage cheese guts next to guys that are ripped to help remind me of why I’m doing it. I even plan on putting pics up on my visor in my car, on my computer desktop, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, etc… to always remind me what I’m working towards. Sure it’s extreme but so is this crazy diet. I’m keeping a daily journal that I will most likely post on the internet once my diet is over so it will be interesting. Keep it up all!
Anyone tried chewing on parsley or mint leaves to get rid of the stank breath? Might have to do that tomorrow.
A good snack when you get sick of the eggs and shakes is a dill pickle. Only trace carbs and tangy to make you think you’re getting a real treat.
For those that want to try, it is possible to do this only on the shakes. Like I said I am on Day 20 and only twice have I had any real food. To be honest there have only been a few times that I have really craved something. Right now I am having chicken at dinner about every 5 days. Trust me things do get easier in the 2nd and third week, believe it or not I don’t mind the taste of my shakes. OK now I know you are gonna think I am losing it LOL
What’s up , T-folk! I’nm glad to see that a bunch of people have started on Monday(26th) when I did. I think I’m a little different than most of you guys in that I’m about 10 weeks out from a bodybuilding show and I needed a kick in the ass with my diet. Monday I was 213 and I need to get down to 176 for middleweight. I’ve already lost 8lbs and of course I’m in hell, but I’ve really got to thank all of you for doing this because nobody seems to be supportive of me with this diet. I’m also seeing how long I could go with no solids. A mental thing I guess. Well, thanx, good luck , and talk to you guys(&gals) soon!
Ok, I tallied up the days I’ve been on from my training log… 23 days done. I’m a school teacher and today I lost it on a student, I’m tired, dizzy, and ready to eat real food. So tonight after I got off work, Sonic (Oklahoma food place) called my name. Oh well, just start back up tomorrow. I read a verse in Proverbs that says “a righteous man falls 7 time but gets back up”. Helps me, just a little more time.
