FFSG (fat fast support group)

Day-4, yesterday I was down 5 pounds. It’s kind of dissapointing, because my body weight tended to do that anyway during the week since I was so busy. Good news, checked Ketostix, I am in moderate ketosis. My girlfriend told me that she could see my fat loss, probably because my muscles stand out better and I look thinner with water loss. Rex, don’t talk about Sonic, I had a brown bag special on Sunday before I started. Also, someone mentioned night time tv and food commercials, I have started changing the channel every time they come on. Also, does anyone else feel like hell when they wake up? I actually get up earlier and more refreshed, but I feel so weak. Keep it up everyone, focus on the end reward (great skirt chasing body) and the journey will not seem so bad. Happy fasting.

Rex, did you ever get your bf tested, if so, what was it, how much did you lose???

Day 4 and as of right now I’m feeling pretty good. I’ve upped my ECA dosages again as I think I’ve adjusted to the ephedrine finally. My hunger was pretty bad yesterday and I’m sure part of it was due to my lower ECA doses. I decided to put off my morning shake and not take it until 2-3 hours after waking. It’s easier for me to fight off hunger in the morning for some reason. Yesterday went good but last night was bad. I got through my leg workout just fine, in fact I did squats with my normal weight and did more sets on leg night than usual. I was fine all day up until I got home after the workout. Then all the sudden I just felt like total shit. Had no energy, got very light headed and on the verge of being queasy. I’d say that I burned out every last bit of glycogen that my body was holding with that workout. Feeling like that was the most trying moment yet on this diet. Finally dragged my ass off the couch and whipped up some eggs and bacon which helped immensely. If I have to go through that feeling every time I workout from here on I don’t see how I’ll make it as it was horrible. I’m hoping that it was just a one time thing due to my stage of the diet. I work out upper body tonight so we’ll see what happens. Also I had a dream, er nightmare last night, that I broke the diet by eating a Butterfinger. It’s sad when you consider eating a candybar in a dream a nightmare but I woke up relieved that it was only a dream. Also my weight seems to have leveled out to about 204, 10 lbs from where I started. I was down to like 202 yesterday but I think my fluid intake was too low so I started drinking more. At any rate I’ll keep my updates coming as it helps my motivation.

Today is day 13, 32 days to go. I have a real meal every 2 days (1 egg w/mayo or tuna/oil), but I stay at 1000 calories / day. When I drooled over an asparagus, I knew that I had taken food for granted for too long. Man will I enjoy vegetables after that! My fat loss is great, my strength doesn’t really suffer, thanks to MD6 and Androsol. My mood is ok, my energy level too. Everything is fine, I could live like that forever. I just can’t wait to stuff that EXTRA-LARGE OILY DRIPPING PIZZA DOWN MY F****G THROAT AAAAAAAARRRRRRRHHHHHHHH! Sorry, I needed that.

day 4. down 6.5 pounds. i have had no solid food since sunday night…and i really don’t miss it all that much. all that is in my sink is pint glasses and spoons…that’s awesome! i am a very good cook (ask my t-man!) and i like to eat, but my driving force is to see his jaw drop when he gets off the plane in two weeks. he doesn’t know i’m doing this!!! i haven’t had cravings or hunger pains at all, but my workouts are suffering. this morning i had to just stop…it was disheartening. i could no longer move an ounce of weight…i felt extermely weak and shaky. i felt 100% better after my AP shake, but can’t work out with food in my stomach. has anyone had diarreah? i had it this morning, though i wonder if that is related to no solid food. i do take psyllum husks, though maybe i need more servings. what are people doing for fiber?

tomorrow i’m going to have some chicken (with flax oil), but can only have 2 oz to keep me under my 1100 calories. it’s not that i’m craving it, i’m just worried that not using my digestive tract at all can cause other probelms…any thoughts on that???

and after re-reading my last post, evidently i am having concentration problems…

Why are all of you just eating liquid meals? There is no point in this. The diet will be more effective if you eat some solid foods.

How so, senior Burrito?

i’m dieing. no, really. i have not had hunger pains at ALL and right now my stomach is so cramped i can’t sleep. what do you do for them? water isn’t even helping…i guess my metabolism must be speeding up or something because i need more food! if i don’t eat when i’m hungry will my body revert to ‘stavation mode’? my diet since monday: 5 shakes with 5 tbsp of flax oil every day. and my cocktail of pills daily(a ton of stuff, trust me) it works out to about 1100 calories a day give or take 100. what now? is the methoxy-7 part of it? (2 servings a day) would solid food help - same calories but chicken and tuna and beef? i;m down about 7 pounds, so i don’t want to stop!!

Hi MP, the first week is the toughest. I found that after that the hunger pains weren’t as bad. One thing I did when the pains got really bad that first week was I held out as long as I could each day before I had my first meal. Some might not think this is a good idea but it worked for me. I am doing 6 shakes a day and by waiting, this way the window for all my meals was smaller and I was able to eat everytime I felt hunger pains. I also modified when I took my MD6. I used to take it first thing in the am then around lunch the around supper time. But since for me it worked so well as a appetite suppressant I didn’t have my first dose until mid-morning, then again mid-afternoon and finally last one around 8:00. By taking it this way between feeding times I was able to ward off the hunger pains. Some might not be able to fall asleep taking the MD6 this late but for me it is not a problem. You can do it MP, it was hard for me at first too but in week 2 and 3 when the inches started coming off my waist, it just motivated me. It is Day 22 today and i fell great, especially on days like yesterday when my boss who I hadn’t seen in two weeks came in my office and went Holy Sh!t what happened to you. I just loved the look on his face when he looked on my desk and sees all these bottles from Biotest. MP just use your T-man seeing the new you as your motivation. Keep it up.

Muslhead, it is better to eat solid foods since solid foods take more calories to digest than do liquid foods. Going all liquid helps you stay away from bad fats, but you can do this going solid too. People are talking of tuna and skinless chicken breasts as if they are cheat foods while it is worse if they consume protein powders. Protein powders more than likely will raise your insulin levels higher than will whole food sources of protein, so in fact these are generally worse sources than are whole foods while in ketosis. I also hope you people are eating your vegetables on this diet, but from what I’ve read I doubt this is the case. Sure there are some that have too many carbs, but for the most part green leafy vegetables only have carbohydrates as fiber. For example, minus the fiber, a pound of spinach has 3 grams of carbohydrates. Now, the thermogenic effect of eating a pound of spinach will more than offset the measly 12 calories you get from carbohydrates, not to mention the basic health benefit that is derived from eating veggies. I’ve done this diet before, and no amount of spinach is going to throw you out of ketosis. I have more to say about this diet in general since I don’t think you people are doing it right, but I will save the rest of my rant for another time. Good luck to all of you.

Hey guys! Joe and I will start the fat fast monday. He’s decided to cut his bulking cycle a little short and try to find his abs. So - I’m gonna order my supps right now and get 'em sent to me same day. Can’t wait to be back on the fast!!

Burrito I don’t think it is for you to say that what some are doing is not right. How can you argue with positive results? Have you done the Fast yourself? Many people have done it with great success, you are allowed to have your opinion but it doesn’t mean that it is correct. Also this thread is meant to be supportive of those that are on the Fast, a place to help them out. Not a place to knock what others are doing cause you don’t agree. It is ok to voice what you have to say but it would be better as a new thread. This is my 22nd day and I have lost over 15 pounds of Fat, dropped 2 3/4 inches of my waist, all with only have 3 real meals. I would say that the Fast works in liquid form.

Got to agree with Bigdawg. I’ve lost 18 lbs so far and am on day 12. Don’t think I could lose any faster either. Not lost any strength but have lost 2" in waist so far. Burrito, you philosophy does make some sense but needs to be in a more positive approach. Ole’!

Day-5 Well, I am happy today to still be on the FF, I nearly broke last night. Hunger pains were getting to me and I felt lightheaded. Some tuna did me right though. I have a question, what would be the result of carbing up one day and starting FF the very next day? I realize it would blow ketosis, but I don’t think I can make it through a leg day. I tend to get really light headed and I am really only good for about 2-3 sets tops. Keep it up. Hunger is temporary, shredded abs are forever.

Are you guys that claim the major weight loss (in lbs) doing this after a carb meal? You can’t measure loss in fat without eating carbs and replacing the glycogen. You’re gonna measure low %BF in a dehydrated state (regardless of how much water you drink, you’ll be dehydrated). Plus we all know that BF% is a helluva lot better indicator than a scale. You’ll see 5-8 lbs of weight loss in the first 2-3 days but it’s mostly all water that is easliy replentished with an MRP and extra water.

I can’t believe you are jumping on Burritojimmy for 100% correct advice. He was critical of the way some are going about the FF but he also gave great advice in eating solid food and not neglecting veggies. What you people should do is get into ketosis, then eat small amounts of carbs and measure your ketone level again to find out an approximate amount of carbs you CAN eat without dropping out of ketosis.

Plus, shakes are emptied out of the stomach much faster than solid foods, so you’ll be back in the hungry state much quicker without some good old dead flesh.

IC where did I jump all over Burrito? All I stated is that we all have an opinion on things. I just stated that for him to say that I am doing this wrong by using shakes only is his opinion, doesn’t mean he is right. My opinion is that the shakes only works for me, doesn’t mean that I am right either. My results speak for themselves in my case. Now as for bodyfat % I am not really interested in that. I measure my body with the tape to see fat loss and to make sure that i am not losing muscle in the case of my arm measurement. Now obviously after gettting back on carbs I will gain back a few pounds. I expect 4-5lbs at the most as I don’t take in a lot of carbs at anytime as my body doesn’t react well to them. As for taking in Carbs well I don’t fell the need for them personally right now. My energy levels are great and i don’t have big hunger pangs so the shakes are great. Hey everyone is going to tweak this Fat Fast to suit him or her personally which they should do. I read every post to pick up on anything that I might try or not do. Its ok to give advice here, the important thing is to be positive and supportive of all who are doing this cause lets face it, it ain’t easy.

This is a great thread and a good idea. But it’s getting a bit long and pushing other posts off the board too quickly. I’m going to start a new one. Please post on it (Fat Fast Support Group- The Sage Continues) instead of this one. Thanks!
