Feels Good To Lift

im a skinny semi-tall bastard who injured his hips/lower back about a year ago. after doing a million things its finally coming around. gluteal amnesia was part of the problem and misalligned hip was another part. i injured myself shortly after a 2x bodyweight max deadlift.

tonight i lifted at the lost battalion weightlifting hall in queens. i am not very experience and my form improves always. i am lucky to be naturally flexible. i OLY lift primary. tonight i threw 60kg over my head in the snatch. god i just want to express how good it feels to be under the bar again. i have learned SOOO much as a result of this injury. one cool thing i am able to do is a take a weight in the jerk position down to ass to the grass. i am a skinny bastard but im not afraid to eat. it will be heaven when i can finally establish a 3x per week routine.

anyone in NYC check out lost battalion theyve got a website and a yearly membership is 100 bones, a total godsend. theyre great coach too if you show your devotion

you train at LBH? Nice! Thats a very good gym, I’ve met a few of the guys down there, Yoon and the company. Joe is a great guy. Do you have any plans on competing? I know Joe is sending a few guys down to FDU for the FDU Open in January.

and good luck with the training man, maybe I’ll see you sometime when my team makes a trip down to LBH to train some day

Nice mate!

This is quite weird I too also hurt my back in a 2x bw DL and I was out for 9months.

Good to see you back and see listen to your coach!

yeah im only in NYC for a couple more days but be repping OLY internationally were ever i can. ill be in Seattle for now though. I’d love to compete and have once. 60/70 at 63kg. i didnt really understand lifting at that time. its so awesome when you start to get the hips going, the weight just flies.
