I can’t decide if this falls into the realm of childish, darn right mean spirited or maybe both.

Someone help me out with this.[/quote]

He’s largely correct. Shame Kubrik is going the same way.

“Good is the enemy of great”

This is an saying quoted often by Jim Collins, who is a well-known motivational speaker and leadership consultant, although I don’t know if he originated it.

I know. The guy gives us The Shining and Full Metal Jacket, then a waste of time like Eyes Wide Shut!?! Talk about jumping the shark.

“Nuthin’ but a peanut!”

Actually goes through my head before a big lift sometimes…

And when I don’t want to train –

“It’s easier to have self pity than self discipline.”

Which is mine…

love Belushi…this cracks me up!!!

Bluto: What the fuck happened to the Delta I used to know? Where’s the spirit? Where’s the guts, huh? “Ooh, we’re afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble.” Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I’m not gonna take this. Wormer, he’s a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer…

Otter: Dead! Bluto’s right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody’s part.

Bluto: We’re just the guys to do it.

D-Day: Let’s do it.

Bluto: LET’S DO IT!

“The weight is not too heavy, you are just too weak to lift it.”

“Practice doesn’t make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect, the way some of you practice, you’ll never be perfect!!”

-Sherry Bassin, one of the most recognizable names in canadian major junior hockey

I was one of about 1000 other guys that got yelled at by him and that one will stick with me forever.

Hahahahahahaha, fucking funny!

“Did I just fart?”

“You’ve got to go through hell before you get to Heaven”

from the song “Jet Airliner” by the Steve Miller Band

Quit your bitching and lift.

Both of my current faves are from movies:
Friday Night Lights: “Get 'er done”
North Country: “Win or lose, leave you blood on the ice” ( old hockey saying)

Shut the fuck up and lift the weight.

My wrestling coach used to say that.

this is a little player i say to myself before tough sets, actually’ve never shared it with anyone before…

“this is me on a good day, this is me on a bad day, this is me everyday…this is me!” - abisay h.

Whenever I’ve got nothing, I always remember that " sometimes nothing’s a good hand to have."

It helps later on to when I’m eating 50 eggs.

Yea…I’m not fond of all the hype from either of those two, and throw pavel in there as well.

But wishing them a “painful death” because you don’t like their marketing is just nasty.

I mean what does someone like that wish for really bad people…

I came here to chew bubble gum and kick some ass. And I’m all out of bubble gum.

Second place is the first loser.

ENDURE!

I think of these when I’m feeling weak.
