Coach Davies,
Do you happen to know of a company that sells Jump ropes(speed ropes preferred) for Lineman.
Thanks in advance
performbetter.com has a 16’ rope. Hope this helps.
perform better does a good job. Also one of the better rope’s and probably the cheapest (ie 3.99) is a plastic speed rope by Reebok. It is packaged very long because you can adjust by cutting at the handles. Tell me if you can’t find it at a local sporting goods store. In faith, Coach Davies
Thanks for the information. I will research further but the performbetter site looks very helpful. Coach, do you have any suggestions for a three month program to get ready for a combine?
Thanks for all the info so far.
Darren
Thats one of my top requested topics in my consulting practice for individual athletes or for coaches looking to get there seniors ready. Combine preparation is very particular science. I would be happy to discuss but it also requires a significan amount of detailed visual explanation, that I use mpeg/jpg files In faith, Coach Davies
I too would love to get more information. I have high speed access if that is the problem. I was invited to a combine and thought I would work more on the movements(225 reps, 40, and vertical)than I normally do. I never thought the tests translate to the field but I understand using them to evaluate talent. My earlier question about jump ropes is part of my plan. Power movements for explosion coupled with body control exercises also. I hope I don’t ramble too much it has been 4 years since I had strength coach and I am hungry for new ideas.
Thanks,
Darren
