-Dead 400

Lose 15 pounds between Feb and May.

July Meet @ 195lbs:
-Squat 315
-Bench 275
-Dead 440

Deadlifting 405 and benching 275 were lifetime goals I set a long time ago, so when I break them this year, I’ll have to make new goals.

I think I actually put this elsewhere, and despite making fun of goals in an earlier post I do have some:

Snatch: BW (currently 180, but whatever I weigh is what I want to snatch so long as it’s 180+)
C&J: 225lbs
OHP: 200lbs
Bench: on hold right now, but 285 paused would be nice.
Front Squat: 300lbs
Squat: 400lbs
DL: 520lbs

current:
Snatch: 165 (fugly but legal)
C&J: 210
OHP: 185 (got to 195@195lbs BW)
Bench: 260 (on a good day)
Front Squat: 270 (down from 290@195)
Squat: 375
DL: 465 (down from 515@195)

Cool movies…new and old. I like most of their movies. In a throw back, I just introduced my boys to “Voltron: Defender of the Universe”. They love it. Next, I need to find “Star Blazers”. A battleship in space…what could be cooler!?

And C_K, you are correct. Their toys rock, compared to the ones we had.

Okay guys have did you do?

Squat 355- Yep hit 355 and hoping to hit 365 before the end of the year.

Bench 315-God no, might never hit it.

Dead 500- nope, but switched to sumo and headed back that way

Dip 2x bodyweight- Yep, one really ugly rep.

Ruck 15 miles with a 70lb load.- nope

Run a sub 6 second 40 with a sled+25lbs- Yes, beat that pretty well.

Do three meets- check

Greatly increase my GPP work.- check

Get eating locked down.- sort of.

Learn to use knee wraps.- yep

Get a little bit of hypertrophy going.- got a little.

Continue to get my form squared away.- Yep

Get better at foam rolling and stretching.- Not done well a this.

Okay lifts all the same, but I lost around 30 pounds of fat so happy about that.

Family I did finally reconcile with my son about a month ago.
Daughter is still in school for now.

same, fucking economy.

Yup - I had no goals and I hit every one of them.

Goal - enter my first powerlifting meet. Semi-accomplished, did deadlift. Did 275, pathetic, since then got it up to over 300.

Had to tear my squat apart and relearn it. Accomplished - from fussing with broomstick to max over 200.

Get my bench up past 150. Barely successful. Hate.

Have to find job. Semi-accomplished, got a part time. Still looking.

Kicked up volume training beyond anything I ever imagined. Surprisingly successful.

Schedule completely scrambled, due to job hunt. have to keep working out and somehow afford food. Successful.

Restrained self from cutting wrists. Successful.

I would really like to experience: (all raw)
405lb squat
435lb deadlift
365lb bench
225lb military press
205lb bodyweight and keep waist at 34

Current:
320lb squat
345lb deadlift
320lb bench
185lb military press
192 bodyweight this am.

Did my 5/3/1 plan for next year last night and Jim W approves the numbers. Will be interesting to see where I plateau.

Here’s where I finished for 2011:

Geared squat: Yep. Squatted 209 on the platform last summer.

Bench: Yep. I’m progressing. Got a meet PR of bodyweight last summer.

DL: Nope. Just slightly under 2.3 x.

And sadly I’m still too chicken to compete at the national level.

I think you figured wrong. I believe the gain was 5.5 lb. So you’ll hit 550 in 2022.
