Everyones Goals for 2011?

keep shoulder together.
lose 30#, as little muscle as possible.
hold lifts as close as possible to current.
improve cash flow.

Ride bike more…

Be happy.

Squat 315 X 20.

Lose 10 lbs of fat.

To be bigger, without getting fatter. To compete in a powerlifting meet, a bodybuilding show, and the old fart softball league, without blowing myself up.

Making the wife happy by going to church with her, (probably won’t hurt me any either).

To deadlift 300 in time for the April contest.

To get my squat over 205.

To get my bench over 155.

Either get a new pair of pants or else lose a little around the waist.

Get that perm job at the office (currently on contract).

Get my weight back down to 150 lbs.

Don’t tear any more tendons loose from their insertions in 2011!

I’m with you on this one.

Here are my powerlifting goals:

Geared Squat: Anything over 200 lb.

Bench: Keep progressing

DL: 2.3x bodyweight

Gain the confidence to potentially go to a national meet. Even if I do finish in last place.

Just showing up would put you in the top 1 percent. You know that!

While I may appear to have vanished from the face of the earth (or at least this forum), I have continued to train regularly over the holidays, and don’t seem to have gained any pounds from the waves of real Key Lime pie, steak, etc.

Goals for the year (lifting wise)

Military Press: Current max is 52.5kg, would like to make 65.
Deadlift: Current max is 150kg, would like to make 200.
Bench: Current Max is 80kg (gasp), would like to make at least 100.
Squat: Current max is 135kg, would like to make 180.

Bodyweight is 225, with at least 30 pounds of Saved Energy that could go. Getting down to 205 while making the strength gains would be a major win.

Plus, continue to be able to overhead press my 8-year-old daughter to my shoulders and carry her around for 30 minutes. If it worked for Milo of Croton…

Put a solid year of training in. If I can that all the numbers will improve up and down!

I’ll jump at this, and stick my neck out!

Ultimo 2011

+600 kg total @ -105kg RAW

I don’t really care what split. It’s a long shot but that is my goal.

New PR’s all around by the end of March, BW -110kg !

Start to do some swimming again… It sure as hell can’t hurt me.

Get stronger.
Get lighter.
Start skiing again.
Start competing at skiing again (by spring 2012).
Hit at least 3 PL meets.
Total 1250 in a lower weight class.
Total 1300 in a lower weight class.
500 lbs. Squat.
Spend more time camping or skiing with the family (hopefully both at the same time).

My goals are for my lower body strength and size to increase, as they are lacking compared to upper body.
Current 1RM
squats 425
bench 385
dead lifts = suck

Oh and get through this P90x shit with my wife, I made fun of it and it is kicking my ass, didnt realize how bad my core was out of shape.

It’s freakish being surrounded by powrlifters. But then again, since I’m targeting strength gains this is a good crowd to be around. My goals:

  1. Maintain awesomeness
  2. 315 3RM squat, going ass to grass.
  3. 225 3RM bench (old injury)
  4. 315 3RM deadlift
  5. Gain 5-10 lb LBM
  6. Get strong enough to carry SteelyD’s gym bag for him

damutt - That is a crazy, crazy back you got there!

LittleStrick - Play with your kids as often as they can stand it! It keeps you young and gives you an excuse to buy the really cool toys.

And to watch the really cool movies!!!

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

Failing all that, improve all throw distances, make a respectable showing at the Senior Olympics, do more highland games. Thinking about really working on my squats and deads and going after some powerlifting meets in the next year.

Still on my quest for 1000 combined.

World domination and wear 34-36’’ waste pants.

Squat something between 850 and 900, bench 750, pull 750, as a ‘true’ 275. And being able to wear 36 pants.

I found this little typo exceedingly humorous. Too funny. I’m sick.
