I need some help from the T-Nation faithful. I am in the beginning process of organizing a local “fitness” challenge through my place of employment. I am currently considering three catagories of events: Endurance, Agility, and Strength. I would greatly appreciate it if the T-Nation’ers would reply with suggestions for individual events for these catagories. BTW I have limited funding…of course.
you could use events like 100m sprint, 5km run, obstacle course, rope climb, bench press, shot put and pull ups.
These events will be used at next years world police and fire games. For the toughest competitor alive contest.

Carrying something anything heavy and cumbersome for distance and time is a great one as is dragging things etc.
One of the best ideas is even the playing field use complexes were each strength quality is addressed. absolute and endurance strength as well as agility. This way during different legs of the complex different ualitites in the individual will shine. like a long sprint, followed by something strength based, then something, for the more agile maybe a climbing drill or obstacle course.
Have several complexes with the varied attributes at different stages of it likethre and in the varied complexs absolute strength would be first, seconf and last for the individual events.
