I admit I haven’t read thru the whole thread yet so my suggestion may be defunct… But…

COMPETITIVE Strength Sports T-Cell (ie power/oly lifting, and strongman/highland games).

Entry only to be granted after you’ve completed a meet and either backed it up with a video of the comp, or link to the results (to save peoples names being thrown out online, a pm with the link could be sent to an existing member for verification, of course to prevent people just saying random names, an statement of intention to compete in the form of a pm to the same exisiting T-Cell member would be necessary!)
I think that a competitive T-Cell for OL, PL and strongman would be a great idea.

I dare any other forum to show anything close to that.

California Law would be able to answer this much better than I could, but I’m betting there would be legal implications involved in this that would make it an unnecessarily risky move.

Exactly. That is why all of those idiots diagnosing “spinal issues and winged scapulas” piss me off so much when I doubt even one of them has any degree past high school. I doubt you would find many people willing to risk law suits to give detailed medical advice over the internet…especially FOR FREE.
No, no, no…you missed the point entirely and jumped to a wrong conclusion. Since your average Joe couldn’t post in the doc’s T-Cell, there wouldn’t be idiots asking for diagnoses. (We’re talking T-Cells, not open forums.) I agree, medical advice is just plain foolhardy on the web.

Instead this would be just docs talking among themselves where we could follow along. Perhaps debating research, theories, how supplements really work, or flagging the latest developments they found worthwhile. That way we’d know that everybody who voiced an opinion in that cell was vetted. Isn’t that the whole point of a T-Cell?

T-Cell: Married with Children.

If you have to ask why, you won’t know till you know.

Everyone has a “life”. I hate to even read that anymore. However, certain situations require different motivations.

I’m not talking about “ohhh, wook at de pictures of de wittle baby” type of ish, but rather stuff like “I’ve got one vagina/penis for the rest of my days, several peoples lives that I am directly responsible for, but I refuse to look or say things like Bobby Beergut over there by the water cooler. Who’s with me?”

It’s different when you have young kids or are no longer “on the market”. It just is. Not harder or better or worse, just different.

(And after typing all that, I realized that this is more appropriate for a forum, not a t-cell. Oh well.)

How about a T-Cell for Southern Powerlifting or Teen Powerlifting. Or even one for Teen Bodybuilding for that matter.

I hear ya! But I think it’s more of a forum (if anything) more so than a T-Cell.

If you want a good example of how well that will turn out, head over to bb.com.

TEAN SEA

yeah, that shit is gay. Besides the one we already have a t-cell for COMPETEING strength athletes would be cool. Cool, but not necesary. We have a pretty good crowd in strength sports, but like a week ago A 13 year old kid saidd he benched 110 dumbells for reps in my thread, which I thought was kind of cute. So I wouldn’t mind getting cutting/program/meet tips from people who actually have a clue ehat they are doing.

I do have a huge amount of hate the football/soccer/tennis/running posts in strength sports. But they don’t really deteriorate the forum. I don’t see why they don’t have a football/rugby forum here. There are probably a lot more players in those sports then people who actually compete in combat sports. And hell I don’t even do sports outside of plifting, but that’s my view on it.

ALSO: I liked having logs in strength sports. I understand moving the 45234534x rippetoes logs (excep tthedudeabides, his should be stickied in beginners and mandatory reading material before posting about the routine) into a different forum, but some of us want our logs to be seen and commented on by our fellow competeing and noncompeteing athletes, I’ve gotten A LOT of good advice in that thread, and I don’t foresee there being anyone but myself really reading it in the logs forum. GET RID OF IT!

I don’t really see the need for more T-Cells to pop up like so many mushrooms around this place.

The Alpha is fantastic and was sorely needed. It brings a bodybuilding focus back to a bodybuilding Web site.

I would say wait and see how the first T-Cell develops. The only other one mentioned that makes sense to me might be the powerlifter/strongman cell. The forums seem to pretty much cover everything else.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a new forum on sports performance, which would be something cool for the bball, football and other non-combat sports athletes.

But in essence, keeping the T-Cell idea a very exclusive feature is probably the best way to give it the weight (pardon the pun) it deserves.

I would like to see a powerlifting T-Cell.

WTF is up with anti-bodybuilding posts on a fucking bodybuilding website, in the fucking bodybuilding forum.

Fixed.

I don’t give a fuck, that sort of shit does not belong here on this site.

Bad idea, the teen section at BB.com is just about the forst section to enter for anyone credible advice at all.

Agreed. Anyway, the good teen bodybuilders usually don’t need their own section.

True, I was just re-emphasizing the absurdity of the post w/ that second part.

Yeah, that is effed up. I think a T-cell isn’t enough. We need stricter and more active moderating on the regular forums.

How about a cell for Uk drug dealers and people in the Uk that wan to buy drugs?

Joking of course, but a UK group would be good, if just a group for UK residents is too general how about

UK steroid forum
UK Strength sports
UK weight lifters
Yes, a UK T-cell would be ideal.
