Em the 1st one IS dedicated to BODYBUILDING yes ???
As in everyone there WANTS to go somewhere near if not AT the top… or did i miss something ![]()
Seriously time to put BODY BUILDING back on a BODYBUILDING site.
I think the T-Cell Alpha is great. It already has the wannabe’s pissed off. Myself, I’m going to really enjoy being able to read some good shit without having to wade through the diarrhea. I’m not about to be voted on, I have different goals at the moment, however the information and authenticity this forum will provide for this site is going to be awesome.
I can’t see any reason for other T-Cells. This one was needed for the simple reason that the hardcore bodybuilders were loosing their forum. Now ever thing in the universe is A OK!!
The first T-Cell is for bodybuilders, right? Just clarifying.
I’d like to expand CrewPierce’s T-Cell suggestion. Instead of just T-power, I think T-strength would be better. It’s the T-Cell for SERIOUS powerlifters, weightlifters and strongmen.
Other than that, I don’t think there should be more T-Cells. Making too many T-Cells would definitely defeat the whole purpose. Each T-Cell should be able to embody what this site is about. A T-lookgoodnekkid wouldn’t be a good idea.
I admit I haven’t read thru the whole thread yet so my suggestion may be defunct… But…
COMPETITIVE Strength Sports T-Cell (ie power/oly lifting, and strongman/highland games).
Entry only to be granted after you’ve completed a meet and either backed it up with a video of the comp, or link to the results (to save peoples names being thrown out online, a pm with the link could be sent to an existing member for verification, of course to prevent people just saying random names, an statement of intention to compete in the form of a pm to the same exisiting T-Cell member would be necessary!)
What is a T-Cell?
FEEDER T-Cell for those of us who want to get fat.
Clemson T-Cell, but only if they promise not to post any reference to it anywhere else.

HA, thats a great idea.
I would like to see an Injury Prevention/Recovery Forum and/or T-Cell.
The Forum would be a place for folks to ask about injury recovery, ask for resources, get advice, discuss injuries, injury prevention (mobility, etc.)
The T-Cell would be for docs, certified or experienced trainers, experienced atheletes (eg those in the current T-Cell), authors, etc. to discuss more in depth topics or things not typically available to the masses — latest studies, professional symposia topics, physiology, etc.
My first posts to T-Nation were to seek out some recovery exercises from an injury.
As far as a general forum topic, I think injury prevention and recovery crosses all boundaries of T-Nation topics and sports whether bodybuilding, competitive powerlifting, football conditioning, MMA, etc. I see questions in all the forums and as such relevant discussions in the “Over 35…” forum may be lost on someone who is dedicated only to the “Bodybuilding” forum. Consolidating injury discussion seems practical and beneficial.
An injury related T-Cell would do wonders to keep out clueless folks typing advice that an unknowing person might take as legitimate.
I like the concept. Although I am more into sports training, powerlifting and strongman type stuff than bodybuilding, already go read T-Cell Alpha first when I log on.
Wait to see how the first one works out. But, some ideas for future T-Cells:
Sport Training: My main interests are rugby (I play DII club rugby) and football. Sports too general? Rugby too specific? I don’t know.
Strength Sports: I have competed in powerlifting (NASA, raw, fun but not PLUSA 100 material). I train strongman style occasionally (I have an atlas stone) and would like to compete someday. As stated, the current strength sports forum doesn’t have the issues that BBing forum does.
Military Cell: I really like this one. Military service creates a real bond. I am retired Air Force, and I still work with the AF as a civilian.

Seeing as how the T-Cell Alpha is all of 1-day old, I say just keep that as the only T-Cell for now and see how it develops over time.
I con~quer. Is that how you spell it? Who cares, I agree.
No point adding heaps of cells, it just adds to the pack mentality.
EDIT: If I may, I’d like to suggest that there should be different forums for different aspects of training (like there is now) but with an improved ability to get rid of trolls and request that the MODs remove irrelevant post.
I think this all started with the influx of trolls into the more hardcore sections of this forum, so wouldn’t getting rid of them be more helpful?
To get rid of them, how 'bout adding the ability to mark trolls to certain users (like the ones in the T-Cell Alpha) and leave it at that.

Concur.

I agree with the others who say wait and see how this pans out first. Right now, I don’t see the need for another T-Cell.
I understand that this first one was built for bodybuilding, but I think it’s just more of a place to go for discussions without any BS. Even with the limited membership, it looks like there’s enough diversity in there to hit topics marginally related to bodybuilding. And this diversity will only grow once we are allowed to bring in other members.
Also, for those not in the T-Cell that would like a topic discussed, why not just PM a member? I’m sue anyone in there would be more than happy to relay your post.
Good post, I concur.
California Law would be able to answer this much better than I could, but I’m betting there would be legal implications involved in this that would make it an unnecessarily risky move.

Exactly. That is why all of those idiots diagnosing “spinal issues and winged scapulas” piss me off so much when I doubt even one of them has any degree past high school. I doubt you would find many people willing to risk law suits to give detailed medical advice over the internet…especially FOR FREE.

NOOOOOO No health advice beyond, drink water and elevate and see a doctor
Way too much liability
I can see some future T-Cells after we see how this one works.
I would love to see a Team T-Cell of some kind. Even some figure competitors, a powerlifting team, a rowing team, one of those endurance teams. It would be great to see how they are doing and how their competitions are going.

I’m sorry but winged scapulae are about as hard to detect from a picture as scoliosis.

That didn’t stop hundreds of dumbasses from doing just that all because they read an article.
The only thing worse than that is the large number of people who actually seemed to listen.

Seconded. Never take the advice of an internet doctor, that’s just beyond stupid.
