Enter Your BID For a T-Cell!

I have to completely agree with Prof X, god that hurts

Why not a T-Cell for each forum? Only let in respected established members, and then that T-Cell can be what everyone else who’s interested in that forum looks at when they want to see what veterans in the area think about whatever?

I don’t mind the hardcore bodybuilders having their own forum and, although I’m not one, I’m sympathetic to their plight. It’s like when I’m doing a hard track workout and a some fat middle aged walker comes waddling into my lane during a sprint. I don’t necessary think any more T-Cells are necessary, but, as long as we’re going to have them, I would suggest one for speed training.

This is out of hand. The problem isn’t that there are too few T-Cells, it’s that there weren’t enough forums for people to post idiotic crap in. Now they can post V-Diet and training logs and T-Cells and if I don’t like it I can block it. This whole elite poster forum idea is bound for disaster anyway IMO.

Lixy Haters T-Cell.

Women who now have a VD because of Renton T-Cell.

Troll T-Cell.

I agree with the others who say wait and see how this pans out first. Right now, I don’t see the need for another T-Cell.

I understand that this first one was built for bodybuilding, but I think it’s just more of a place to go for discussions without any BS. Even with the limited membership, it looks like there’s enough diversity in there to hit topics marginally related to bodybuilding. And this diversity will only grow once we are allowed to bring in other members.

Also, for those not in the T-Cell that would like a topic discussed, why not just PM a member? I’m sue anyone in there would be more than happy to relay your post.

Good post, I concur.

Sleeper T-cell.

This could be for all those that may appear to be b/builders,but are really just trolls.

we got plenty of them…

I think a T-Cell of dedicated beginners would be great. A place to post successes, experiences of the group with different programs, eventually moving on to doing their own programs. Diet stuff. Figuring it all out as a support group for each other–might end up with some great info, but also a lot of real trial-by-fire type stuff. It’d probably just turn into 8 or 9 training logs with each guy posting in the others’ logs with advice/experiences.

That said, I agree with prof. X, see how the first T-Cell shakes down. Go from there.

Sounds more like the Bodybuilding section… excluding the bunker.

Haha maybe then I wouldn’t be the only one wearing a T-Nation shirt under my singlet. It would also allow for excellent networking as people could discuss what federations they lift in. I believe we have a pretty diverse and vocal group of powerlifters here on the site so it wouldn’t be a T-Cell for an unpopular T-Nation demographic.

Hmmm wait I’m already in a T-Cell, am I allowed to give ideas? :)[/quote]

Seconded.

but they can vote the “mean people” off the island so there’s no one to tell them anything that may hurt their ego. Like moving from 135 to 140 in the dead lift in 2 months sucks.

I can’t believe anyone actually mentioned a “beginners T-Cell”. What purpose would this serve? Clueless beginners all congregated with other clueless beginners to expand their ‘cluelessness’ together as a group?

I thought the entire board was headed in that direction just fine.

What about a military T-Cell? You could call it “The War Room.”

I’m not in the military, but I have family who serve, and I have seen a number of posts talking about the issues being in the armed forces presents to a strength/physique oriented individual. It could be useful for them to have a specific area to talk about PT, deployment, or just make fun of civilians.

I’d suggest that the entry requirement is simply active or previous service.

I could be wrong but…

Aragorn, one of the original T-Cell members is a powerlifter.

Sure, it is in part to keep the dumbfucks out of it. The bodybuilding section is destroyed by people saying ‘I dont wanna look like a roided out freak I just want to be healthy and have women like me’.

Strength sports doesn’t have people coming in calling everyone fat powerlifters and other bullshit.

The new T-Cell is, so far, and should be for anyone dedicated to and familiar with the iron and for people who aren’t gonna go around saying things like “roids shrink your balls” and “evaluate my mass program”.

Not everyone there has to agree and be wholly devoted to the exact same thing, they just can’t be the prick that specifically bash different aspects of what we love.

And as for threads created about something specific getting to clustered and out of focus…

Read the bodybuilding bunker, I think it has worked quite well for the over 30 pages its covered in a week.

I love this idea, it was the first thing I thought of.

T-Golf

Men who love to bang whores

A Doctor’s Only T-Cell for medical discussions, limited to certified experts.

A Body Composition T-Cell for those who only want to look good nekkid.

A Fat Boy’s T-Cell for people truly interested in, and for the experts at, extreme fat loss. This is for the people who are tired of reading “you’re a lazy fat fuck” every other post.

A Sports Psychology T-Cell for people to discuss motivation, discipline, etc. These would be the people who want to discuss strategies for personal excellence and don’t want to have to read “you’re a pussy, just do it” every other post.
