does anyone know the name of the article that talked about the detriments of early morning training. Is early morning training good or bad?
There are good and bad things to early training, just like there a good and bad things for every thing in life, you just have to do what works for you.
It’s better than not training at all.
I have been training at 4:00am for 20 years no problems here…

And I thought training at 7:00 sucked. Thanks ![]()
the only time i have to train is early in the morning before work. if i dont do it then, i wont do it at all. from my experience, i feel weaker in the morning due to the huge fast i have just recently awakened from. breakfast is eaten as soon as i get up and i’m usually finishing it in the truck on the way to the gym. that way, there’s a little bit of fuel there for the workout. if you’re doing cardio and a low-carb diet, it can be beneficial (let’s not open that can right now)to do AM workouts, IMHO.
I train at 5am and would much rather train later. I do what I got to do. It took me a solid 3 month or more to get used to it.
I personally would like to (being in the Arizona heat )but A. cant find spotters then, also i wouldnt think powerlifters or strongman training then because of potential disc problems joint etc…any expert opinions on here id like to hear…
I am lucky enough to get about 2 hours of PT time every morning during working hours(0730 - 0930), as long as our training schedule doesn’t interfere, but even then I can usually work around it. I have been doing that for a few years now, and actually prefer it to training later in the day. I feel fresher in the morning, and at the end of the work day I usually don’t feel like lifting. It also works out better for my MT/CSW training schedule in the evenings.
