Do I really have narrow clavicles?

Why do you care?

I met a guy with small clavicles once. Everything was fine for 6 months of lifting, but on the 7th month, his clavicle pulled right out of the skin. It was a devastating injury. If he had just given up on lifting, he could have lived a normal life

I was thinking about getting clavicle narrowing surgery. None of my 48L jackets fit anymore and it might be cheaper to take 2" out of my clavicle than buy new jackets.

I’ll consider selling what they take out for the right price..

Because i wanna measure?

Thank you

Why do you want to measure?

To see if i have narrow clavicles

Do you know the mean clavicle length and the standard deviation of all males?
Have you decided how many standard deviations short of the mean would be classified as “narrow clavicles.”?

Priceless

Who is the dipshit that is putting this clavicle madness into these noobs? And is it a big joke to them, too? I mean either that, or this is a very elaborate prank directed at tnation.

I love it either way.

Noobs: who gives a fuck about the size of your clavicles? Christ. Lift heavy, and pretend you have a pair.

Honestly, clavicle length goes WAY back

And, to reference, that comment was being made to a 19 year old Aaron Clark.

Who went on to become THIS Aaron Clark

That image is when he won the NYPro, for reference

Lack of genetics to build muscle is far worse than having genetic “narrow clavicles.”

Honestly, being a parent, I think being born with the correct number of chromosomes is winning the genetic lottery.

Don’t forget this was him at 17.

He looks like everyone who has posted about this in the last week, but how much sleep do you think he lost over it?

Yup.

I remember when the whole point OF lifting weights was to transform from a 98lb weakling into a He-man.

Can you imagine the ad these days where the kid goes home and looks up some articles online telling him it’s hopeless?

But what if

Not a chance. Look at the veins in his forearm. And a fairly thick neck for a 17 year old.

I am messing with you. I like to take pseudo medical jibber jabber and scare children.

The reason you’re getting a bad reception with this question, as all noobs do, is because it makes you look like somebody that is putting the results before the effort.

It doesn’t work that way. Thats what losers do. They want to know if it will be “worth it”.

If thats the question, then the answer is no. Its not. You can’t hedge your efforts. That virtually guarantees failure.
The first schedule change or rainy day, or day ending in Y, and that person is gone. Cuz its “not worth it.”.

So do it. Give it an honest effort (work hard), for an extended period of time. THEN ask YOURSELF if its “worth it”.

At that point you will have become educated, and it will be a rational decision.
