You likely don’t need to eat this much to gain weight unless you are very active.
Maybe you are expecting weight gain to be faster than realistic.
Figure out what you eat (calories) to stay at 125 lbs, and increase that by 500 cals. I doubt that is near 4,000 cals a day.

I almost never venture into this section, because I have no expertise, but OP - you’ve literally said you’d rather start taking a lifelong drug than eat more. If this is your attitude at 27, I believe you are not setting yourself up for success and happiness (although who knows what the world rewards anymore).
I’m also willing to take a wild swing that you spend a lot of your time sedentary and on a screen, which would go pretty far in explaining why you don’t have that “oomph” to go chase girls.
I’m not trying to come down on you, I think all this is pretty common; I’m just trying to give you some other things to consider.

Just man da fuck up and start eating. It’s as simple as that. 3-4k calories @ 27yo is a piece of cake lol for real unless you want to be that little kid you’ve been till now. Don’t look for a magic pill but have a good look in the mirror. Thats all you need. Good luck and start eating!
