I was wondering if anyone had taken diatomaceous earth?
Here’s the weird part of the story; I have farm animals and when I noticed my pigs passing some worms, I went to my local AG-WAY. The owner who I dealt with for 15 years suggested not using a standard chemical wormer but diatomaceous earth. The package said “Food Grade” so as I always do, I started my research on line.
I found out a lot of interesting thing about diatomaceous earth once of which is that the human body requires silica and some people take it as a supplement.
Has anyone used it for themselves? God I hope this does not start the pig jokes! By the way, the pink little snooters are anatomically close to us. They have even used genetically modified heart valves from them in transplants.
diatomaceous earth or (known in germany as “kieselgur”) is basically non-crystalline silicon dioxide (SiO2). (Crystalline SiO2 is simply sand)
the human body cannot get SiO2 in solution (except maybe for trace amounts), but then again silicon is basically everywhere so its impossible to consume food without consuming trace amounts of silicone (thats the reason there is little research on the nutritional benefits of dietary supplementation with silicone - its almost impossible to control for, i.e. create a diet without silicone in it)
its chemically inert and does as little (or as much) for you as consuming highly purified sand

I’m really thinking of downing some of this stuff. The research shows it’s ability to clean the pipes and there doesnt seem to be any sides.

If you do please come back and let us know how it goes.
Secondly, why not use Psyllium Husks if your main goal is to clean the pipes? Husks are cheap and effective which is why they are in almost every cleansing product on the market.

From what I am getting out of my research, the D.E. has additional anti-parasitic properties. That’s what started this whole time. I’m just looking for something safe, I’m sure DRANO would also take care of everything; you just have to live through it.
