Getting ready to leave for a camping trip for the next few days. Obviously has no gym, all I have is my bands to get the job done…wish me luck!!

On topic, Chobbs, I’d be depressed too if I was going away for a few days of camping and one of my first thoughts was “Oh shit, my training is going to stall and life will suck because I can’t work out for 72 hours.” That is a little sad.

You said it’s a few days, not a month and a half. And it’s camping, so odds are you’ll still be active unless you’re trying to camp like a bear and hibernate 90% of the time.

I woudn’t even break out the bands. Just enjoy the experience, hang out with your family or friends, and have a good time. Once you get home, then you can go to town and attack the weights again.

as mark rippetoe wisely put it,‘exercise is just substitute caveman activity.’ Fuck bands dude. this a great chance to go be a fuckin caveman. climb trees, swing from fuckin vines, hurl boulders at wolves, wrestle a bear, carry logs, plant some man seed!!

  1. Do push ups, bicycle crunches, bodyweight jumping squats, calf raises, flying lotus (or wrestlers bridges if you can do them well) chins / pull ups from tree branches ALL EVERY DAY in a circuit 3 sets of each to failiure. If you find a decent boulder or rock, try to overhead press it and bent over row it or deadlift it.

  2. Do all of this in circuit fashion, zero breaks.

  3. Do some hill sprints after.

  4. Show us a picture of the puke on your t-shirt. :wink:
