I’ve been doing IK’s Limping and Super-Strength programs for the past 3 weeks (just finishing Phase I). I do my back and bicep workout Thurs. and Hip-dominant legs on Friday. Is doing deadlifts the day after a back workout a good idea, or will it impair recovery from the back workout? Thanks for any comments
I am doing limping to and was just curious what the rest of your split looked like.
This probably doesnt help you, but I just do legs first. I do Hip dominant on thursday so I deadlift first. I mainly feel the deadlifts in the spinal erectors, and they are not worked on back day. The reason I suggest doing the deadlifts first is because most people dont prioritize legs, so it would be a good idea to do so if you havent. And the deadlift is a more difficult exercise, so I like to be more fresh for it.

=w=: Since I’m doing IK’s super-strength and limping at the same time, I do upper body A (chest/tris/shoulders for first 3 weeks, horizontal push/pull starting next week) on Mon., Quad-dominant legs Tues., ancillary day on Wed. (calves and abs), upper body B (back/bis right now, vertical push/pull starting next week) on Thurs., and Hip-dominant legs on Fri. Sometimes an ancillary day on Sunday again, depending how I feel.
Jason: right now, I’m trying to prioritize chest and back, so I like having upper body Mon. and Thurs. After this program, I’ll probably prioritize legs, and will either do hip-dominant mon. or thurs.
