i usually use DB’s for dumbbell rows most times, sometimes i’ll do barbell rows w/ weights and an Olympic bar though.

It sure was, it convinced me not to buy one… unless… how many 25s fit on there? I’m assuming 3 each side, which would be a total of ~161lbs, which honestly is heavy enough for me for 6 months or so.
The video I posted has 4 per side for a total weight of 211.2LBs. The best I have done with those is 24. Once I get to 30, I will probably try using 35s and see what that is like.
EDIT: I think SteelyD has posted a way to add more weight to DB rows somewhere also. Involves some straps and an interesting use of collars I believe.
Thanks tons man, 210 pounds is more than enough to hold me over for awhile. Gonna order a couple now!

DoveofWar- Thanks for taking the picture. I was really hoping to find one that would hold enough 10’s to make it usable, but it’s good to know that it works for you. I notice that you do your rows standing, and I like to do them in the videos on the first page, with my knee on a bench and more bent over, so I’m not sure how the range of motion would work doing it that way with 25’s. Do you have a link for those collars? That handle looks pretty reasonably priced so I may try it out and see. Thanks!
The collars are just what my gym has, I did not purchase them. My gym only has 2 sets of them though, so I usually have to go on a scavenger hunt throughout the freeweight area to find the damn things.
I used to do the rows on a bench like you see Kroc doing them, but I kept hitting the bench on the down portion of the movement. My knee would also tend to slide around and it gave me a rather less stable base to pull from than when I stand and do them. I also try to force as much air into my torso as possible and brace my gut against the top part of my leg. I have found that this limits low back fatigue, to a degree anyway. But, now that I think of it, I started doing them standing before I purchased these handles due to the low back fatigue issue. While using the bench, I had worked up to the 150LB DBs for a set of 40+ I believe. I rarely take things to that high a volume, but this was before I had the handles, and more volume was the only real form of progression I had as an option at the time.
