DB Press

I’m looking to start doing DB Bench Presses and wondered if anyone here knows of some sort of rack that can be used for spotting heavy DBs. My gym is in my garage and I usually workout alone. Just don’t want to be dropping heavy DB’s or taking a chance of tearing something.

thanks

A popular method is to sit on the bench with the dumbbells resting on your knees, then using your legs to help get them into position when you lay back.

Or you could just ask someone to help you pop up the Dumbbells.

I think he means when his set reaches failure and gets stuck in the down position. You could try rocking your bodyweight and propping them back on your knees but with anything over 125’s this becomes extremely difficult and it’s best to just drop them or have a person on both sides take them.

Both of those are waay cool and exactly
what I was looking for. Having limited
space, I’ll probably go with the Power Hooks.
Thanks.

Get some floor matting (the 1/2" stuff that’s really absorbic) and just tilt your hand forward and drop em.
