By HITT, do you mean HIIT, high intensity interval training. Like, a form of cardio? I don’t remember seeing anything about HITT anywhere.

Then no, it’s different from HIIT. HIIT is an actual type of cardio used for fat loss. It usually alternates intense activity like sprinting with periods of rest. GPP is also sporadic and alternates intensities, but the goal of GPP is physical preparation (hence “general physical preparation”)So you would do GPP do get ready for your sport, especially if you find yourself running out of steam when playing.
