CT Or Others. LBM While Cutting

Hey guys,
I have a question…maybe CT would be able to answer it best, but I am open to all ideas.

In the past 2 months, I have dropped down from 198lbs at 13.1% BF to 192lb at 10.5% bf. I have done this with the T-Dawg Diet, CT’s Ripped to the Bone Program (low volume, heavy compounds), and uphill walking 3 times a week.

I have recently realized that my shoulders are quite small in comparisn to my chest and arms, so I wanted to give the Shoulders Overhaul program a try. I am getting 1.5 grams protein per pound of bw, around 100-120 gm of fat a day and 50 grms of carbs or lower on non training days.

Do you think it is feasible to gain mass in my shoulders while losing BF at the same time? During the past 2 months, I lost no muscle through cutting.

For the first month of Shoulders Overhaul, it is a more BBing type volume scheme, and for this month I would use half a scoop of Surge plus whey protein after lifting. Shoulders twice a week, back/chest once a week (mainly back), and legs and abs once a week.

Do you think I should continue cutting until I achieve a level of bf I would more like to be around (8-9%) and then build the shoulders, or should I try both at the same time? Thanks and if any more info is needed, let me know.

I am no CT nor am I nearly as large as you but…

Look into Maximum Strength HOT-ROX.

You may/may not have a position on supplementation but these definitely work. I recently got off the V-diet. I was able to cut down to ~7.5% body fat while increasing muscle strength. This leads me to believe that without the severe caloric restrictions of the V-diet you should be able to help your shoulders out as well… it is all a matter of the timing.

what percent body fat did you start at?

Thanks, I am doing Maximum Strength HOT-ROX although I am not sure if it worked particularly well for me. I started at 13.1% BF before the 2 month cutting cycle.
