Fuck. I feel like the more I post on here the worse my argument becomes. I don’t give a shit if you guys like CrossFit. I do. I love all this shit, but apparently I am the only one. I don’t care about the “zombie apocolypse” I don’t care about being ready for anything. I do not do CrossFit because I think it is superior to anything, I just like it.

Yeah man, you dont need an “argument” to do what you like.
While we are generalizing about crossfitters, who cares what a bunch of bald, fat powerlifters think anyways?

As for being prepared for anything , is crossfit now teaching marksmanship , self defense , shelter building, vehicle repair etc, etc.
In apocalypse time how well I can shoot my M1 A is more important than a kipping pullup or ten over unders.
The Crossfit Games are/were on ESPN this weekend if anyone else has a hangover and wants to feel like a complete piece of shit with me.
No handguns yet, but they have said “fittest on earth”, “elite fitness” and “ready for anything” about a hundred times halfway through the first event.
I dont drink and never have, so I would have to be one slobbering puke in the toilet pos before you could get me to watch another episode of that shit. Bowling is more interesting…not that I watch that either.
I have been adding in some of the big workouts for GPP purposes. “Christine” is fucking awesome. I am going to try “Grace” (30 clean and presses for time) with 275 at some point in the near future.
There is nothing wrong with CrossFit. Just like any other physical endeavor, there are plenty of assholes that do everything wrong and plenty of bad coaches. Just like in Powerlifting, Football, most strength and conditioning programs, etc. Bad form and self proclaimed know-it-alls are not exclusive to one facet of physical culture. Just look at all of the bad information and stupid threads on here.

Go da-BEARS !
It really was boring, just watching people work out. Rep, rep, rep. More fun to do than to watch, I am sure.
Also, MFing love the Bears. My Grandfather got season tickets in like the 50s and Ive been going to games since Payton was playing.
crossft was on today. I saw some of it. It sucked. IF it is a sport, it is not a spectator sport. It really is just cardio. The weights used are not at elite levels & the rest just test focus & stamina. And what the f is a air squat? Isn’t that what we used to call body weight squating? Watching these Cross_f_u_c_k_e_r__s is like watching a crappy single A baseball player hit in a batting cage…you can only defend this Crossf_u_c_k crap if you are making money off it. Oh, and i do drink. if you don’t drink you are a liar od just from a different world than me, and that’s cool…
I really wish strongman competitions could get as much traction spectator, television, and sponsor wise as crossfit has. IMO strongman stuff is literally a MILLION times more entertaining than crossfit. For me, watching dudes flip cars with their bare hands and walk up stairs with an armful of anvils beats watching dudes do 50 dolphin pullups and 200 weightless squats as fast as they can.

agreed with everything you just said…and YEA, I really have never drank, smoked or toked.
Just grew up with a stronger mind - body ethic than the worthless shits who did go out and
party on the weekend and who are now 40 fuck pounds fatter than they where in high school !

Heaviest snatch then carrying jugs as far as possible seems cool tho. Liking the snatch and jugs.
On a related note, reconfirmed my heterosexuality just now.

I dont really know why, but this had me laughing so hard i was almost in teas and my secretary came in to check on me!
I like lifting and being active and I dont like fat lazy slobs who blame their obesity on bullshit problems that can be fixed relatively easily…so if its crossfit that gets these people active, by all means get it! I dont really understand the “hardcore crossfit” stuff, “Burpee” just doesnt sound at all badass.
Then there is the whole “hot chick in tight clothing” campaign I always see. I love a good looking woman with fake boobs and a nice body, but if I want to stare at it, im going someplace where it all comes off and they do shit for money, Im not going to the gym.
The worst was watching the jump rope for time!
But even topping that was watching them throw a softball…come’on…they just threw it to see who threw farther.
What next, hopscotch!!!
Nothin wrong with crossfit , I mean doesent the winner of the games get 250k. Almost makes me consider training for it, not saying I’d win but give me a year and I’m pretty sure I’d be a contender. Also anyone know if they drug test cuz it seems to me its only a matter of time before there is some sorta steroid scandal
It is just like those “tri-atheletes”…
Crossfit appeals to people who can’t compete in real sports & newbies.
I rather keep it old school & not follow fads.
