Cottage cheese

There is a low fat brand that has pineapple already mixed in. Delicious.

I eat fat free cc daily with raspberries on top. Also mix it in my shakes now and then.

Use the spoon!!!

CC and peas, or also with tuna. Tastes like cold casserole.

I have to gag it down straight too. My solution is to cut it with no fat, no sugar added yogurt. It fixes the taste, and hides the consistency.

I add grape nuts and/or fiber one and some fruit and it’s a high protein, low fat meal with complex carbs and tons of aminos and enzymes.

Pile it on top of some multi-grain toast and a little fresh fruit jelly. You won’t even notice the cottage cheese and it makes for a real fast meal.

Add oatmeal for a P+C meal and Flax for P+F meals. I love it plain too though. CC with Flax and choc. LC grow! tastes so freakin’ good it unbelievable; rich and sweet and creamy, god I love it.

There’s a brand up here in New England called Friendship. They also make sour cream and other things. It’s great. It tastes better than Hood and any other brand. It doesn’t have any of the guar gum or other weird stuff in most cottage cheeses. The low fat with pineapple tastes almost like a pina colada(with some imagination.) Its real hard to find. There’s only one supermarket that I’ve seen it it. If you ever find it, try it. It really tastes good!! I eat 16 ozs a day.

whipped cream and vanilla extract mixed in is pretty good.

This thread is too funny. A whole collection of T Men trading cottage cheese recipes! Very informative however…

I love eating cottage cheese straight out of the tub, but for those of you who hate it…

I mix about 1/2 cup of semi-frozen berries (strawberries work the best IMHO cuz I love them so much) and cottage cheese in a blender. If your fruits are cold enough, it’ll be almost like sherbet although not quit as rich or as sinful. But this should help you mask the taste and texture of cottage cheese.

Hey I hate the taste of straight cc also, but have found that by adding unsweetened apple sauce, a little cinnamon and throwin it in the blender makes it a nice semisweet treat, just make sure ya use the all natural unswetened apple sauce, only 9g of carbs per serving

This one rocks:

Cottage Cheese Pancakes:

Half-cup cottage cheese, half-cup oatmeal, two or three egg whites, some splenda, some cinnamon, mix thoroughly and pour pancake-sized portions onto a 350 deg F non-stick frying pan. Makes two or three pancakes. Top them with a little unsweetened fruit preserves (adds like 15 calories), and enjoy a great P+C meal that makes cottage cheese extremely tasty.

Try mixing it with flavored yogurt. If you can get past the chunks it’s awesome. Try blueberry or strawberry first. If your on a lower cal lifestyle use fat free yogurt. If your on a beef-up phase reqular yogurt and its calories are your buddies.

Ug people who sweeten or add fruit to cottage cheese are sick! Try some diced onions, bell peppers and carrots in there. Top with black pepper. Good stuff.
