Cottage Cheese Before Bed

how much cottage cheese are you guys eating before bed??? im intrested and may begin taking this myself.

When I do eat it, I eat 250g at least.

Yeah im not too fond of the taste either but i eat some before bed for the casein protien. I should probably get some Metabolic Drive im sure it taste better but im broke!

My cottage cheese blend:
somewhere between 1/2 to a whole tub of 4% cottage cheese
1-2 servings of sugar free jam (~2 carbs per serving)
and a small handful of chopped almonds or a spoonful off almond butter.

It is a wonderful snack, I like the taste so much I have to stop myself from getting a second or third serving

ive only been eating about 1/2 cup of it, maybe i should get more.

stuck with just fish and healthy fats tonight though :frowning:

I go with about 165g 1% Cottage cheese, a tablespoon of peanut butter and currently vanilla whey (although chocolate is way better). I also take separately 2 tbsp of olive oil and some fish oil capsules.

Try mixing some scallions in your cottage cheese, tastes pretty good if you like an oniony taste.

I gotta try the cinnamon thing someone mentioned on here.

I eat 1/2 cup as a snack, usualy with natural PB…and if its a “meal” I go for 1 cup. Like I said earlier, I use the “Dry Curd” which I think is alot better with ratio of fat/protein, It has lower fat, like .5% and packs 22 grams of protein per 1/2 cup (4-5 more grams than reg 1% CC)!

I saw a while ago, one of the trainers, (might have been Berardi), mentioning using it like a dessert. Mixing CC with some “light” whipped topping and then freezing it and eating it like IceCream.

I use the 4% fat for a couple of reasons, one being the increased fat percentage slows digestion a little so I feel like my meal is absorbed more gradually through the night. The other is based on the recent TC article in which he discussed a study that said reduced fat dairy products had reduced nutritional value because in the fat stripping process they remove other components as well. I suppose if you’re adding peanut butter or other fats to your mix it doesn’t really matter though.
